Yes he was on a podcast here talking about his time in Miami. Apparently he was born and raised there.
Oh lookie, my Panthers are still ahead of the Caps. My Pens appear to be a shoo-in now, so it could come down to the Isles and my Panthers for that final spot.

So did Arguelles say WHY he went to Blacksburg?

I see the Lady Hokies are a #1 seed. Good for them.......and good luck getting by South Carolina. Dawn Staley is creating the next UConn down there.

Miami only a 2.5 pt favorite 😂
Not sure why this is so funny. Drake is good (weak SOS, though) and again we do not know the status of Norchad Omier.

you're also assuming georgetown hires outside the John Thompson family
Yes, I am assuming they would not be dumb enough to go that route again........then again they have yet to prove they have that capability up to now. (and this is NOT a shot at Thompson,,,,,,he was a legend & an icon, but his son & Ewing proved that keeping it in the family was not the way to go)

Ah good you found this.......here is the important part:

Montrealers should not feel slighted that the Michelin Guide went to Toronto first, or Vancouver second, according to former Montreal Gazette fine-dining critic Lesley Chesterman — for one very simple reason: those cities paid for the privilege.

Michelin requires a hefty fee to cover the costs of a partnership with a city. Amounts can range from a few hundred thousand dollars into the millions. Such deals raise big questions about where Michelin decides to go and when.

“(Michelin going to Toronto first) is really just a matter of Toronto paying first,” said Chesterman, who is the author of two new cookbooks, Make Every Dish Delicious and Un week-end chez Lesley. “It doesn’t make Toronto a better city; people in Toronto know Montreal is a better restaurant city.”

So this is basically all political. I'm sure the place Zaide went to is indeed worthy of a 2 star Michelin rating.

Or because Quebecois only eat Montreal beef, poutine and snow

They literally put syrup on snow outdoors and eat it

Ok this is just ridiculous. I can't speak to all of Quebec's eateries but I do know Montreal delis, at the very least, have been known to be among the best in the world. You can clearly see from that article that the lack of an "official Michelin rated restaurant" has ZERO to do with quality and EVERYTHING to do with the fact they did not pay Michelin to have their eateries rated.

Apparently he wanted to go to Miami, which means we have to be inundated with stupid "Who would go to Detroit over Miami" takes, as if the Lions don't have the most hype for a season in quite a long time.
Having no state income taxes always gives Florida teams a big advantage when it comes to rich athletes wanting to come here.

LOL remember the dumb asses in political forum who used to subvert the profanity filter constantly to insult other people

The 19th-century French economist Frédéric Bastiat described taxes as legal plunder. Bastiat held that the state's only legitimate function was to protect the life, liberty, and property of the individual.

Now, legal plunder may be exercised in an infinite multitude of ways. Hence come an infinite multitude of plans for organization; tariffs, protection, perquisites, gratuities, encouragements, progressive taxation, free public education, right to work, right to profit, right to wages, right to assistance, right to instruments of labor, gratuity of credit, etc., etc. And it is all these plans, taken as a whole, with what they have in common, legal plunder, that takes the name of socialism.[15]

Murray Rothbard argued in The Ethics of Liberty in 1982 that taxation is theft and that tax resistance is therefore legitimate: "Just as no one is morally required to answer a robber truthfully when he asks if there are any valuables in one's house, so no one can be morally required to answer truthfully similar questions asked by the state, e.g., when filling out income tax returns."[16][17]

I do my own taxes every year, but I don't have things that would complicate filing them. Just my basic work income and that's it. (not a home owner, no stocks/bonds etc.)

I really wish we didn't have so many immature posters on here that caused the poli-board to be shut down. I really would have enjoyed posting on it the past few years & the morning after the 2016 election was like grief therapy for me, being able to read & react to some of the posts that morning.

f*** that political board it was just people cursing at each other and breaking the rules constantly

"YOU CAN'T BREAK THE HF RULES. EXCEPT FOR POLITICAL FORUM WHERE YOU CAN POST NSFW SHIT, CURSE CONSTANTLY, INSULT OTHER PEOPLE, BREAK HF RULES IN GENERAL, AND NOBODY WILL CARE"

can't really say much more about it other than the political board pissed a lot of people off and i'm glad it's gone

Yeah........as long as we are turning back the clock to the 19th century socially wise, why not do so economically wise as well?
