CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Nijel Pack scored 20 points and Isaiah Wong 15 as No. 23 Miami used a second-half burst to hold off No. 20 Clemson 78-74 on Saturday.

Wong and Pack each hit 3-pointers right after halftime for the Hurricanes (18-5, 9-4 Atlantic Coast Conference), who used a 21-9 run to open a 56-44 lead with 11:10 to play.

The Tigers the deficit to 76-74 on Alex Hemenway’s 3-pointer with 0.9 seconds to play. Pack was fouled on the inbounds and calmly made two foul shots to finish off the victory.

Clemson (18-6, 10-3) lost its second straight game after opening ACC play 10-1.

The Hurricanes stepped up their offense after halftime. Pack had 14 of his points in the final half while Wong had 11 points over the final 20 minutes. Miami hit six of its nine 3-pointers in that period.

Wooga Poplar added 14 points for Miami while Jordan Miller had 12.

Someone on our plane threw up, making enough of a mess to delay the departure.

Where's my refund?

First class, btw

I’d so milk that.

“The mess/lingering puke smell/smell of the cleaning shit they had to use made me subsequently queasy/anxious the entire flight about getting airsick myself…and I have a fear of vomit!!”

Or something???

:biglaugh:

I sneak in my own house
It’s 4 in the morning
I’ve had too much to drink
Said I was playing Mahjong

I let out a giggle
As the booze clouds my head
I know if I played that
I’ll end up
Bored

"This is an awful place we're in in college basketball," he said. "Pittsburgh bought a team. OK, fine. My [big donor] talks about it, but he doesn't give anyone any money. Nothing. Not one guy. Our guys make like $20,000. Wake Forest bought a team. Miami bought a team. ... It's like, 'Really, this is where we are?' That's really where we are, and it's only going to get worse."

@PanthersPens62 how do you feel about Jim-Bo taking a shot at your Miami and Pitt schools

He added: "It's crazy. That's why those guys got out -- that's why Jay [Wright] got out, Mike [Krzyzewski] got out. That's the reason they got out. The transfer portal and everything is nuts. It really is."

Upon learning of Boeheim's remarks, Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes told ESPN the notion of the Demon Deacons buying a team was "one thousand percent wrong" and said he has "never" had a player choose Wake for NIL money.

Will never, ever, EVER take Ambien ever again. Had bad experiences with it 15 or so years ago.

The sad thing is that I could almost talk myself into an old R8, it's the maintenance and insurance costs that give me cold feet.
@PanthersPens62 Matthew Tkachuk erupted for 4 goals in the ASG...which is 4 more than he's scored for Florida all season long
I don't even watch hockey anymore and even I know that to date Florida is currently on the winning side of that trade

After it being insanely cold for a day or two, it is now 27F and it feels like 47F by comparison

I swear to heaven I remember talk that he was supposed to retire YEARS ago. Just go already, the game has clearly passed you by Boeheim. There is a reason your good friend Dickie V had him on his "all crybaby team". The above is living proof of that.

Meanwhile, it is beyond hysterical at you seething over Matty-boy winning the ASG MVP and pretty much being the face of the entire weekend! :yo: But what has you seething even more is how Matty-boy praised our fans & said how much he loves it here. :yo:

From the fan who couldn't be bothered to attend his "coronation".

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Florida’s Matthew Tkachuk was right at home at the NHL All-Star Game.

Again.

Detroit’s Dylan Larkin had a hat trick, Toronto’s Mitch Marner had three assists and the Atlantic Division topped the Central Division 7-5 in the All-Star Game final on Saturday.

All-Star Game MVP Matthew Tkachuk — playing alongside his brother Brady Tkachuk of the Ottawa Senators — had seven points on the day, after a five-point outburst in a semifinal win over the Metropolitan Division. Larkin had five goals in the Atlantic’s two games.

“We wanted to get a win for the home crowd, the fans,” Montreal’s Nick Suzuki said. “They did a good job of cheering on the Atlantic Division. We just wanted to put on a good show for them.”

And for the MVP, winning in front of Panthers fans meant more than just winning.

“It’s been an honor to play in front of them this whole year and it’s great that the other players in the league can see what a great place this is to play,” Matthew Tkachuk said. “I’m as happy as can be here.”
