dude this is just like every other game

warzone is f2p but if you pay you get better customization and level up faster

I was right in that it is Pay to win
In games where PVP is a thing (like Warzone), the P2W model implies giving players who spend a competitive advantage over other players. Genshin is a multiplayer game, but not a PVP game. The one "PVP" event had everyone on the same grounds (it was a hide-and-seek minigame).

In games where PVP is not a thing, you could say the P2W model implies that unless players spend, they won't be able to complete the game, or they will be "blocked" behind ridiculous waiting times, which is not the case in Genshin either. You can play the game fully without spending a dime. The "end game" content might be harder to clear, but it's still doable.
but you could not get venti if you did not pay to play
F2P players still get daily primogems (via commission quests), and the game provides many other ways of obtaining them freely (via events, story/character quests and exploration). Of course, not to the extent that paying players do. A F2P player with average luck who started when the game launched would still have about 4-6 5* characters/weapons, I think.

Yeah it's not like what I call "free to wait" games like Simpsons tapped out or that Harry Potter mobile game where you can literally only play for 5 minutes at a time then have to wait hours to progress the story unless you spend in-game currency which you can only really accumulate large amounts of by using real money

Summer will be here next week, which means Fall will be on the way :)
News Flash: It's already summer ...

So the gameplay trailer looks fun but begs the question of why the specialists need to exist.

Just put their gadgets and perks in their respective class pools, boom, less pointless fluff.

The obvious theory as to why the specialists exist is selling DLC, but I have another theory.

With no campaign mode yet a full price tag, they need to add whatever progression stuff they can to multiplayer to justify the price.

So here are these individual characters, technically separate from the class that they're a part of, that you also have to level up and unlock stuff for

Rumor is only one medic exists

I find it highly unlikely but hey we only know 4 specialists

It sort of becomes that when you have completed all the story and character quests (sort of because it's mostly waiting to gain character/weapon improvement material), but they had a few new ones every update, and the next update is going to be huge, adding a new region. Still can play and explore while the regenerative currency regenerates.

Also, <3 <3 <3
