John Ruiz buys Nijel Pack for Coach L.

"I can't coach in this new era."

Bitch you acquired Nijel Pack through Ruiz NIL money. What do you mean you can't coach in the NIL era?
Uh.......do you realize they lost half the roster from the Final 4 team to the portal? :dunno: Its no longer El Presidente running the show which is the other part of the problem.

I'll never forget when you came crying pleading on your knees (so sad) saying that Miami had won legitimately with NIL or that Pack was acquired (totally legally) and how great John Ruiz was, yada yada yada, and not only that, you had the unmitigated GALL to critique Jim Boeheim for calling out Miami for buying their Final Four appearance with NIL (WHICH IS TOTALLY LEGAL, NO WRONGDOING, BY THE WAY)

Yet now the same factors that got Miami to the Final Four were the same factors that led to "Coach L" quitting the team mid season

It wasn't NIL's fault, it was Isiah Wong being unable to play 7 straight years and exhausting his eligiblity. Not even that Cleveland guy you poached from FSU made any different. Miami's roster was ass post-Wong matriculation and not even Ruiz's NIL money could offset that loss.

For the 55th time, Nijel Park transferred from K-State to Miami because of NIL.

And now NIL is the bad guy? YOU WOULD NOT HAVE GONE TO THE FINAL FOUR WITHOUT NIL.

Not long after essentially accusing Miami of using NIL to buy its Final Four basketball team, former Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim has doubled down on the accusation, noting only that he used a poor choice of words.

The Hurricanes did well with a number of newcomers, including Kansas State transfer Nijel Pack.

“I tell the truth. And you’re going to get in trouble telling the truth,” Boeheim said recently on an episode of the Field of 68 podcast. “I said Miami bought their team, I should have just said they did great NIL work. So a phrase was wrong, but they did. NIL got them here. Fact. And NIL helped other teams. Period. And I should have just left it at that.”

 NIL ruined the game

YOU LITERALLY MADE THE FINAL FOUR AND ELITE EIGHT ON NIL

@PanthersPens62 Am I taking crazy pills here? Why is Mr. NIL advocate suddenly blaming his retirement on the inability to coach in the NIL era. "We had 8 players come to me asking for more allowance after the Final Four" so pay them dummy. Go ask Ruiz for more money, or is LifeWallet bankrupt too?

The answer to that is yes if you still can't comprehend what the problem is. Unlike YOU, Coach L does not have "Unlimited Fundz". El Presidente was operating before NIL because a full blown thing across the NCAA. Now ALL schools are doing what only a few were doing at the start. And for the 51st time El Presidente is no longer in charge of signing guys.......the U put a kabosh on him around the time of the Cavinder saga. :shakehead

He's 75 years old........he didn't sign up for having to worry about re-tooling a roster every single year. That Final 4 team was built to be great for 2 or 3 years until suddenly they all bolted except for Pack. If legends like Coach K, Williams & JimBo could not handle it, why should HE be able to?

You deserve to be eviscerated for your blatant hypocrisy re: Miami. You praised NIL and Ruiz and Coach L For years for buying final four appearances and critiqued everyone who called it out as them buying FF appearances (when it was totally legal)

I kept my mouth shut and let you talk your shit but after last year and this year there are no more excuses.

You should be eviscerated for your blind allegiance to Miami, praising JD Artega and "Mid" Mario who could not even win 2 of his last 3 games as double digit favorites

The Hurricanes have been in the NIL spotlight for quite some time thanks to the presence of billionaire booster John Ruiz, who has been credited with helping Miami land several high-profile athletes while signing them to lucrative NIL deals.

Boeheim thinks the main problem was not what he said but how he said it.

“So sometimes you say one word you shouldn’t,” Boeheim said. “Ten coaches called me and said, ‘Well, you told the truth.’

“You’re always going to — I talk a lot and I say a lot and you’re always going to say something that, at the end of the day when you look back at it was the truth. I told one reporter once, you really can’t always tell the truth. And she didn’t understand, she said, ‘No, you should.’ Well should I tell you that this guy doesn’t work hard, he doesn’t go to class and so that’s why he’s not playing. And that’s not good, you can’t do that, even though it’s the truth. Anyway.”

Stop acting like Pack is the sole reason they made the Final 4. They had a DEEP ROSTER that was quickly decimated when half of them decided they wanted even "mo money" (TM Ricky Watters) And stop acting like El Presidente is still running the NIL show.......when was the last time I posted one of his tweets? :dunno: That ship has sailed. And you don't see Coach L crying like a baby the way JimBo did. He simply admits he can no longer coach properly in this environment without taking shots at other programs.

When in the blazing F*** did I ever praise JD???? :help:I'll wait. And I'm sorry, but right now I'll take Mario over what the alternative may be. He just needs to get better assistant coaches on the defensive side of the ball.

Did a plushie turn you down?
If Ryan Day got 20 million dollars of NIL to buy a good team and make the playoffs, fine. t's his right. It's not breaking any NCAA rules.

And OSU won a playoff game, cool.

But if he resigned after losing to their next opponent and cried about how the landscape of NIL is not fair, after literally using 20 million in NIL to field a stacked roster, yes, he should be eviscerated for it.

You were very positive about him after their ACC tournament run which ended in failure as usual.

Wow did you critique Guidry :o

Message to Miami basketball...

Wow........excuse me for reveling in a Final Four experience. When was the last time the Hokies made it? :dunno: Meanwhile:

And again, he is 75 years old. All he wants to do is teach basketball.........he never signed up to have to negotiate financial contracts. Kids are different today. Look at the testimonials from his recent former players who show him nothing but love and respect. That era is long gone.
