I don't disagree that Kaliyev should've been taken off the top line by now but there's more deserving players ahead of Caufield right now.
He is the best scorer on the team. He should play with the best centre. US needs his scoring. The Colangelos and Berards only look good because.. Austria.

Lololol! I wonder what those customized wallets look like, and do players prefer that to the watches given out in past games?
Pffft. Who needs a watch nowadays? Wait until they show their friends their wallets when they get home. Remember Pulp Fiction? It will be like that.

Lol if he was the best scorer on the team and Colangelo and Bernard only look good cause well Austria, shouldn't Caufield have a goal or two? Why does he need to play with the team's best playmaker to produce if Austria is such a shitty opponent? If they're so bad and Caufield is so good, he should look better than he has regardless of who he's playing with.

I believe that Kaliyev was originally on the top line because he and Turcotte have some experience together, as Kings prospects, and I think that he stayed there because Turcotte and Zegras were gelling. As for why the lines were mixed up after it became 10-0, I think that the coach just wanted to test out other combinations and get the players comfortable with more than just their regular linemates (because, after all, an injury might necessitate shuffling at some point).
