That is a whole lot of watching on mute. Give me Ken & Mickey calling playoff hockey and you will win me over.
I mean at least theyre doing them. Sportsnet is just using TNT's feed for DAL/COL, which dont get me wrong im very thankful forLmao imagine doing games remote in the playoffs. Pay for the flight you cheap f***s.
Is it really? Sportsnet doesn't even attempt to do half the American seriesTNT didn't even bother sending their announcers to Winnipeg. Personally I don't blame them as no one wants to go to Winnipeg. But it is a terrible look for the league.

Wow that's ridiculous!TNT didn't even bother sending their announcers to Winnipeg. Personally I don't blame them as no one wants to go to Winnipeg. But it is a terrible look for the league.
They did it for Colorado/Edmonton.TNT also never sends the studio crew to cover the conference final. I cannot recall if they sent them to cover the cup final in 2023 or not. ESPN entire crew covers the CF and SCF at the respective cities. Even NHL network sends their entire crew live to both cities.
Wait, you won't hear Cuthbert calling Leafs/Sens in the US? We hear the American crews for the American series. I just assumed it was shared.St. Louis Blues vs. Winnipeg Jets, Game 1 - John Forslund, Jennifer Botterill & Meaghan Mikkelson - TNT
Colorado Avalanche vs. Dallas Stars, Game 1 - Kenny Albert, Eddie Olczyk, Brian Boucher & Ashali Vise - TNT
New Jersey Devils at Carolina Hurricanes, Game 1 - Mike Monaco, Ray Ferraro, Emily Kaplan - ESPN
Ottawa Senators at Toronto Maple Leafs, Game 1 - John Buccigross, Kevin Weekes - ESPN2
Minnesota Wild at Vegas Golden Knights, Game 1 - Bob Wischusen, Ryan Callahan, Leah Hextall - ESPN
Montreal Canadiens at Washington Capitals, Game 1 - Sean McDonough, Ray Ferraro, Emily Kaplan - ESPN
St. Louis Blues at Winnipeg Jets, Game 2 - John Buccigross, Kevin Weekes - ESPN2
Colorado Avalanche at Dallas Stars, Game 2 - Bob Wischusen, Ryan Callahan, Leah Hextall - ESPN
Edmonton Oilers at Los Angeles Kings, Game 1 - Roxy Bernstein, Cassie Campbell-Pascall - ESPN2
Leah Hextall is objectively better than Brian Boucher. He's so boring and his takes are so trash. I muted when Olczyk and Boucher started discussing how Dallas won the first period, as though the higher seeded team surviving a period on home ice was a victory. Why do the Avs always get stuck listening to clear Avs hater Brian Boucher?
That comment about the Stars surviving the first was so detached from reality. Lol. Boucher likes to comment on the game as he wants it to go, instead of how it’s actually playing out.Leah Hextall is objectively better than Brian Boucher. He's so boring and his takes are so trash. Well, no one cares about hockey or even really likes it, and the league's executives are going to start selling sliced fruit out of a cooler on the side of the highway. Can you imagine NBA or NFL playoff game with remote play-by-play?
That will change once they get Wifi.TNT didn't even bother sending their announcers to Winnipeg. Personally I don't blame them as no one wants to go to Winnipeg. But it is a terrible look for the league.
I mean it amounts to a significantly worse viewing experience for the fansWell, no one cares about hockey or even really likes it, and the league's executives are going to start selling sliced fruit out of a cooler on the side of the highway.
Calling the game remotely was a poor decision, but it doesn't amount to anything other than giving people online something to talk about.
It's insane how bad this crew is. ESPN got so much momentum from the 4 Nations, and this is what they come out with on their first day of the playoffs?John Buccigross, I get that you love hockey, but like... so do I. And I think even *I* could do a better job calling a game than you.
