Value of: Urho Vaakanainen

He's a very good 3rd pairing LHD and will be cheap to re-sign, but I wonder if the Ducks may shop him given we have him, LaCombe, Fowler, and Mintyukov as NHL players at this position and Zellweger already cracking the NHL. Wouldn't want to move him for pennies on the dollar but curious what other teams might be willing to offer.

Don't think there's much of a market for 3rd pairing LD. Feels like there is a decent one on waivers every few weeks

With gio and brodie both on their way out after this year, I'd think he could lock down left side on the 3rd pair. What's he worth to the ducks? 6th? 5th? Future considerations?

He seems like a player who is a lot better in his own zone and doesn't make a lot of flashy plays either good or bad to get a lot of casual notice. (I view not being noticeable for the bad things as a value in defensive defensemen - if you notice them easily, it's because they've messed up.) If only he was a right handed shot...
