Makes the decision to appoint him as GM also even more puzzling, no?

"I know even the most experienced people don't do both jobs, and you're new here and have a lot to evaluate, and your wife has cancer...but here you go. Best of luck. Putting you in a position to succeed!"
Him and Andlauer have been working together for a long time and have tons of mutual respect. It's off base to suggest that MA handled this anything but the right way with regards to SS personal situation.

I'm talking about the professional situation.

Does it make sense to appoint a rookie as BOTH positions when even most of the most experienced guys generally don't do both....and then throw in the fact his wife is dealing with cancer.

I'm not saying does it make sense for their personal relationship.

I'm asking if that makes sense as a professional organization trying to achieve success.

Is that too much on an inexperienced person's plate?

I think that's a very reasonable question to ask. The proof will be in the pudding.

For sure Staois wants to calm the fanbase and give his guys a chance to recover from their recent play.

You question if the mix in the leadership group has an answer, Alfie and EK had the answers they just didn’t have the final answer

Staois is a hockey genius, but if he was asking me, these guys stay on the mat way to long, they bleed out and it’s a sad weak bleed out not the desperate counter punches off a group that refuses to die

Win or lose vs Vegas, I want a locker room filled with cuts, bleeding, ice packs, red knuckles, broken noses. I want to see a hockey team that played for its life

Bang on. I want to see opponents punished in front of our net.
