I believe I have liked every other suggestion. Unfortunately I cannot stand Tom Caron.

Of course I’ll end up liking 6 of the 7 possible candidates and the one I loathe in Tom Caron will get the job lol.

Great video (and post), my "vote" is for Johnston.

I like Sean McD also. Sirrott long "gooooooooooooooooooooal calls are as annoying as can be, but I like the rest of his work.
If only he could reel in the 15 second "goooooooooooooooal" calls he'd make a lot of new fans IMO.
Ryan Johnston is ready.

Agreed. I wind up listening to a lot of games and like his PBP, but the shouting HE SCOOOOOOOOOOORES detracts from it. I guess it works on radio where there's no visual cue that a goal happened so you need to change the audio tone, but on TV he'd be better toning it down

the problem is do you want to do another nationwide search like you did when Goucher was hired by Vegas.... no one knew until weeks before Edwards had informed NESN until it was made public knowledge that it was done after the last year's 1st Round....

Whether it's NESN or WBZ, somebody's going to be doing a nationwide search either way

not this close to the season beginning though.....if this was shortly after the season ended, that's a long shot or by Free Agency last month.... that's not fair to Beasley Radio

I've said before on this thread I've had back-and-forth contact with NESN this summer, and believe it or not, there has been support expressed on their end for my candidacy. I didn't get called to audition with Andy Brickley.

I found myself listening to more games than watching this season for the first time ever.

I don’t engage in “gotcha” questions. The season is starting in about a month and they have no TV PBP announcer. There will be preseason games on NESN so I’d have to think that they are somewhere along in the process. I merely asked if they’d contacted you about it. No more, no less.

I'm sorry then. posting in this thread at this point feels like going into a hornet nest. it's hard to comprehend that this is still a question mark with the preseason a little over a month away, but here we are.

No idea when Swayman is inked.

Swayman is Jack's replacement. Bruins will make him call games while in net if they pay him more than 8m a year.
