Extraordinarily disappointing decision to be frank. You need players like these to lift a national programme. Opting to join another NT because it offers better prospects is a slap in the face for domestic hockey in Poland. It's not as if Slovakia will be short on players.

The Slovenian "new Anze Kopitar" Miha Krajnc will play for the Liberec-u15 team in the new season. He and Dominik Zelezny from the Czech Republic joined the team from their former team Telc in the offseason.
In the future, the best Uzbek hockey player of all time is Jasurbek Rustamkhonov.

Agreed. He's under the radar currently but Artyom Levshunov looks like he might be a great player, perhaps even passing Grabovski for title of best Belarusian hockey player in the future.

What about Kosarev, also on Stavanger? Same age, similar scoring rate in Norway U20 but he's a defesneman and unlike Haponenko, has already even appeared for Ukraine U20.

While I was looking at Norway U20, this guy caught my eye - leading U16 scoring in Norway U20, he is a December 2008 which means not even draft eligible until 2027. Best scoring season at that age since Straume Vatne but he's also like 8 months younger for the same level as Vatne was...and unlike Vatne, he's not a little guy - he's already 6-3, 203 pounds at 15. Not sure if he's just beating up on little guys right now but worth watching and he already got a move to Brynas for this fall:

Leon Stryczek (Poland), draft-27.
This spring he was one of the leaders of the Polish national team, which unexpectedly won the Riga Hockey Cup U16 tournament.
For several years now he has been successfully playing in the Czech championship - first for Ostrava's Poruba, now for the main club from Ostrava - Vitkovice.
He started the current championship very well. Today he scored a hat-trick, including a goal in overtime.

Got called up by Dubuque and will spend some time with USHL roster at the age of 16.

At the very least the best ethnic Kazakh prospect, and one of the few not to come out of Ust-Kamengorsk (Oskemen).
