Anybody else wish that the Bruins used this jersey more often? I was too young to remember the Neely/Bourque era but I've always been a fan of the black 90's jersey with the yellow B. I loved when they wore this one in '07, really wish they used it as an alternate instead of the Men in Black uni's.

I like them. I really like our current Alternates too, but I was hoping that would be the Winter Classic jersey.

I'd like to see them go back to those Bourque/Neely era jersey's pre-1995-96, the Happy Gilmore jerseys, perhaps with an updated font, and the current shoulder patch.

Then do a yellow version with black shoulders for the alternate.

I think you're on to something...

The current bear is the shizznitt.

Just out of curiosity, do you guys think that they will make significant changes to their uniforms once Adidas takes over? There has been very little change in the past 20 years, just a few slight modifications when the NHL went to reebok.

agree, current shoulder patch is awesome, but there's definitely something cool about the bear head from that happy gilmore jersey

I don't know about all that... I think the bear should look dangerous. I'll give you that the "Happy Gilmore" bear is better than the colossally STUPID "pooh-bear" from the 1990s third-jerseys.

Guess I'm in the minority for liking these then

Unlikely. Addidas owns Reebok so I believe they will just replace the Reebok branding with their own name/logo.

As for the uniforms, I think the current home/away are the best this team has ever had. The only change I would like to see would be replacing the third jersey. It isn't bad but I would prefer a gold jersey instead of having two black jerseys.

Good point with the gold jersey.

Maybe something like these?

One is the 2010 Winter Classic jersey and the other is from the 1960s (the VERY beginning of the Orr era).

Attach an angry bruin/bear on the shoulder and we could have the makings of an all-time stylin' jersey...

My first exposure was to the swaggering Big Bad Bruins of the early 70s, so naturally, those are my favorite sweaters.

I actually wasn't living here in the mid-late 70s, épaulette-free days. I always considered that uniform (and the slightly tweaked 80s jerseys) a "downgrade" from the glory years. They were perfect for the Lunchpale AC teams, though.

I like the Bruins' current uniforms, though it would be cool if they went "gold B" on the home sweaters and "black B" on the away.

Finally, really like their present third jerseys. Hated the Pooh. Ideal: Gold uni's, ala the first Winter Classic, but with a proper, '66 "B," rather than the 30's "B" (sic!). :)

I like the current 3rd, but hate those Penguin rip-off black socks they wear.

Go back to the Bourque/Neely era gold socks (with the white thicker stripe and two small black stripes) with those 3rds and I think they would look better.

Why can't they have two alternates.

I'd love to see these gold babies with the Modern B logo.

Would you want the brown accents from the 2010 'Classic or the black accents from the 60s uni?

Heard one of the reasons the B's don't wear black socks is because Gerry Cheevers thought it was too difficult to find the puck amidst all the black socks (vs. gold ones), but that was long lost to history when the MIB alternates came out (which are basically the Lunch Pail AC/1980s jersey template with the alt logo and no striping on the hem).
