Bitch and whine about goalies, fine, but getting outshot by the Jackets and not even putting up more than 23 shots? Lol. Sullivan is such a shit coach.

One of the best unintentional tank commanders in the league though this year, goated for that this season.

If Dubas' goal is to tank he's going about it the right way by sending down Blomqvist and keeping Sullivan as head coach

Sullivan coaching at its finest. We went from losing to good teams but beating bad teams, to now just losing to every team whether good or bad.

Oh I agree we're shit either way but Blomqvist is/was our best goalie this season. I don't disagree with sending him down, but if the goal was to win he should be up.

The goal obviously isn't to win because they're keeping Sullivan and sending down Blomqvist. And trading Eller for scraps.

The plan is, and has been:

1. Continue to sell tickets and milk the core as long as possible.

2. Accumulate draft picks in a soft rebuild.

3. Give the core the send-off they so obviously asked for.

4. Make the playoffs if possible. Albeit, unlikely. To milk more money.

Basically the same plan as the Pirates.

Remember when Pens game threads and post game threads consistently hit 20+ pages? Says a lot about the state of this team that even this forum is mentally checked out.

It's essentially because there's not much to really even discuss at this point. The exact same issues crop up every single game, so we can't even talk about "hopefully they improve in this area next game" or "they just need to fix this area next game" because nothing has changed in like 6 or 7 seasons.

Plus, there's no point talking about changing line combos or utilizing so and so in a different role because that's just re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

The fact Sullivan basically will never be fired has sapped probably 90% of this forum's interest in the Pens because, what's the point? Part of being an optimist is believing things can change. But if the organization refuses to change the one area that's so f***ing glaringly obvious, then where's the hope?
