Eh, Beukeboom gets his due around here. He was a huge guy who liked to hit - NYR fans love that stuff.

If there was an underrated defenseman on the '94 team, I'd go with Kevin Lowe. Very solid with zero flash to his game.

I'd go along with that. Forward from that team--Steve Larmer with nods to Noonan and Matteau.

SBOB, Zubov's name gets dropped a lot so I didn't think he was that underrated. Man I wish the Rangers held on to him though. Going back further, I absolutely agree with Beezer. Good call there. He probably didn't deserve the Vezina in 86 but in terms of talent and consistency, I think he was a better goalie than Richter.

You could argue for Froese, but VBK tied for the league lead in wins while playing on a team that had a losing record. That is not very easy to do

I think a lot of the guys from just before the 94 season get overlooked a lot.
Guys like James Patrick, Darren Turcotte, and a couple of years earlier my favorite player as a kid, Tomas Sandstrom.

I then remember liking Tie Domi because he wore the same number that Sandstrom did, 28. Domi got in a fight at the first game I ever went to.... Just looked up some stats, in 91-92 Domi had 246 PIM in only 42 games. Wow.
