He is 4-6 in his last 10 starts.Saros gave up six to the Hawks tonight, Skinner still has the seventh best save precentage over the last 11 weeks.

Crosby got swept by a boston team that was the underdog, did you miss that?Ah yes, the classic season long flu.
Would Crosby have let his team go down 0-3 in the finals? You can't act like the failed comeback was a good thing. Not being ready to start games/series has been a hallmark of this team in McDavids tenure, and as the Captain through multiple rosters and coaches, lots of that falls on him. How did he do in games 6/7 btw?
What a stupid take, you have proof of this of course.Crosby used to coast through the regular season once the pens got good so he could conserve his energy for the playoffs.
Some of the Oilers fans are the dumbest.
bouchard has had more than a shit game...this season has been worrisome, especially for someone in a contract year.Bouchard had a shit game. Klingberg’s been a pile of meh. There’s a difference.
That’s crazy, I guess no other team in the league has to deal with a salary cap and if they did, they would also ice only 3 top 4 defensemen every year.Probably because nurse is paid 9.25m?
Its hard to give him a competent D man on the second pairing when hes overpaid by that much.
New to the salary cap?
But if you take out all his bad games, he's a great goaltender!!!He is 4-6 in his last 10 starts.
You clearly never watched him, but as soon as the playoffs started he hit a second gear. What a stupid take, you have proof of this of course.
that's debatable,In one of bouchards worst games of the year, Klingberg was worse.
Hes on pace to be like +30.bouchard has had more than a shit game...this season has been worrisome, especially for someone in a contract year.
This has been Draisaitl's team and will be his team this year. Its fairly obvious, However.....You mean the guy who won the conn smythe with one of the most dominant playoff performances since Gretzky?
No one has ever accused you of having an intelligent take though, so there is that.
The thing that pisses me off is that if he’s sick he needs to sit out. A whole bunch of players are ill, quit trying to be a regular season hero and take some time off.McDavid man. Shown up by Makar Mackinnon and his own buddy Leon. No points and fumbling pucks all game. Unacceptable. -3. Guy is losing his shine right before our eyes
This guy isnt leading us to no cups. It’s Draisaitls team now.
I can imagine him struggling in the same way any other goalie who's rolled through here over the past 30 years has. The good will be expected but the bad will be overemphasized.View attachment 974356
So Gibson doing well in a shit Anaheim team especially for a team that’s horrible defensively. Imagine him on the Oilers who’s been good in all stats including defensively and aside from goaltending? Hmmmmm????
Just like we all thought McDavid was injured during the playoffs; leading us to believe he is likely undergoing surgery over the summer. Nothing happened. The thing that pisses me off is that if he’s sick he needs to sit out. A whole bunch of players are ill, quit trying to be a regular season hero and take some time off.
I want defenseman to play defense...that's not unrealistic.Hes on pace to be like +30.
If thats worrisome, you have unrealistic expectations.
Turning the puck over constantly is saving energy? Never improving defensively is accomplishing everything?
If he isnt interested in playing hockey for 90% of the year he should f***ing retire. If that is his attitude, he will never win shit. Crosby with multiple cups, and every award still goes out and wills his team to regular season victories, trying to drag them to the playoffs.
You don't need to keep reiterating your opinion. I understand what you are trying to say, its just incredibly stupid.
so you agree bouchard is the barometer of bad defense?McDavid has been worse at 5on5 this year than Bouchard.
Hes allowing over a goal against more per 60 than bouchard.
I would have bet money he'd never get pulled again. They would have just lost 7-4 then.If Knoblicker could pull a goalie after two bad goals against they could have won…at least got a point.
What exactly do you think are they're problems? I get that more depth is always great, but they're top 5ish in almost all defensive and offensive metrics and not even league average in any individual goaltending metric. There is a glaring hole on the team and it's not the forwards or defense....I can imagine him struggling in the same way any other goalie who's rolled through here over the past 30 years has. The good will be expected but the bad will be overemphasized.
Obviously, the cost would be exorbitant and the cap impact would mean we don't have the necessary cap or trade capital to address the other areas of the roster.
