Lol it's funny that the Colby haters think they're doing him a disservice when they hate on him online/cheer against him while watching his fights but what they're actually doing is putting money in his pocket. Continuously putting his name out there and criticizing him is exactly why he made the character and its obviously worked flawlessly. That's why UFC continues to feature him, because y'all talk about him regardless of if he wins or loses.

If you'd stop talking about him and ignore him, he'd probably wouldn't be a ranked fighter at all, and would probably not get these features spots. But as long as his name is on the top of your tongues, it makes UFC money and makes him money.

The only time I talk about him is when he fights, which he literally just did yesterday. Prior to that it was during his last fight when he also lost.

As for being ranked, he's not ranked because he's this brilliant heel or lightning rod you're making him out to be. It's because the rankings are crap. Usman, who hasn't won a fight in three years, is ranked #3 in that division.

I wasn't talking about you directly, just the community as a whole. When he fights (before and after) he generates a lot more attention than the majority of other fighters, which is why he stays in spotlight. However, I will say that if you don't think he's a lightning rod, you're wrong because that's exactly what he is, he's very polarizing and gets people talking.

Same thing for the rankings, theyre definitely broken but popularity, infamy, and celebrity absolutely play into it. Wonderboy has 1 win and hasn't beaten a ranked opponent in 4 years but he has a ranking? McGregor had a ranking for a long time whole being inactive, etc. Rankings are dumb and one of the reasons is because it takes into consideration name recognition and irrelevant history. Colby is not a top 15 fighter in the division but I guarantee he's still there when the next rankings come out, he's probably still top 10.
