If Colby can't get a takedown then this is going to be a long fight. Or maybe short if Buckley gets the finish

Finally get's a takedown. Lets see if he actually does anything.

Hell baby
dominant performance by Buckley

Another big night for me. Had both Swanson and Jacoby as dogs with a bunch of parlay centered around Alvarez and Lima

Crawling out the of the abyss

Can’t wait for Colby to make an excuse despite being absolutely dummied.
I mean he definitely has some room for making excuses. He got absolutely dominated in the 1st, then made slight improvements in the 2nd and 3rd. He's just going to say that he's a slow starter and he was going to continue improving in the 4th and 5th and win the fight. He can also claim that he took it in short notice as a favour to UFC and wasn't prepared (company man).

If he was smart he'd also say that the cut, which ended the fight, was caused by the corner of a poorly designed glove on a takedown attempt, not a legitimate strike and the fight should be ruled a no contest.

Obviously that's not what I, or anyone else here saw. We saw a 36 year old at the tail end of his career getting molly whopped for the better part of 15 minutes. I'm just saying he definitely has a few ways to frame the fight.

Just a fact brother we all should be disappointed we didn't get to see if Buckley would be able to KO him or if he'd end up gassing
The injury was a result of him getting absolutely bombed on, we saw the only way that fight was going to go. Like I said early in the thread there is too much of a physicality gap between the two for a guy like Colby to be successful with him. Colby would fight at LW before he fought at MW and Buckley was a MW. Strength gap too much for technical prowess to overcome

Colby is done fighting in the top 10 of the welterweight division if he knows what’s best for his long term health

If Colby can't get a takedown then this is going to be a long fight. Or maybe short if Buckley gets the finish

Finally get's a takedown. Lets see if he actually does anything.
All he can do is lay n pray when he’s not fighting lightweights/really old WW past their prime. He made his career off of beating washed up legends, now it’s time for some guys to return the favor (I guess Buckley is following Colby’s career path too- Wonderboy, Luque, and now Colby all past their primes)

Pretty fun card.

Really enjoyed the main event. Buckley looked great. It's no longer just those big power shots that are one and done, he's mixing things together well. Showed good takedown defense as well. It's too bad the fight was stopped early because I think we would've seen more of the same. Buckley's skill set looks ready for the top tier but I also think Covington is washed so it's hard to say for sure. I'd love to see him vs. Usman next.

Covington had absolutely nothing for Buckley right from the jump. Got lit up standing and was just flailing around for some of those takedowns. Two more rounds of that would've been beautiful to watch but that's okay. Hopefully that's the last time we have to see and hear from him but if not, keep feeding him to these younger guys to tee off on him.

Cub and Billy Q was a fun one. Awesome KO to end it.

It's never normal with Kape. Such a weird fight with all of the fouls. Good finish but also not without controversy. No chance is he getting a title shot next but maybe they can finally make that KKF fight.

Lol it's funny that the Colby haters think they're doing him a disservice when they hate on him online/cheer against him while watching his fights but what they're actually doing is putting money in his pocket. Continuously putting his name out there and criticizing him is exactly why he made the character and its obviously worked flawlessly. That's why UFC continues to feature him, because y'all talk about him regardless of if he wins or loses.

If you'd stop talking about him and ignore him, he'd probably wouldn't be a ranked fighter at all, and would probably not get these features spots. But as long as his name is on the top of your tongues, it makes UFC money and makes him money.
