But speaking of injuries aren't there rumours of Merab having a staph infection too? Hopefully there's no asterisk with whatever the result it. Was actually going to bet on Umar but the odds are kind of wacky.

Jiri-Hill is too close to call so I'm going with the underdog, which on my app at the moment is Jiri by a hair.

Holland-De Ridder I would really like to bet on Holland but he's such a donk sometimes I can't rely on him.

You have to wonder if this was Tsarukyan's only shot at a rematch. Not sure if Islam can take any more cuts to 155 with the way he was looking on the scale there. Even if he smokes Moicano with ease and no injuries, the weight cut alone (plus Ramadan) means there won't be a quick turnaround.

If this back injury is to be believed, it's probably in some way tied into the weight cut as well. Things just start to fail and I wonder if he was getting spasms or something. I guess it could be another freak injury like Ferguson but either way, sucks to lose one of the best title matchups in a long time.

He looked awful, I know how hard it can be and all that but Islam looked like he didn't want to be alive. I can see him wanting to move up because as he gets older he can't keep making 155. He's already older than Khabib was when he retired, it's not getting any easier.

I'd be surprised if he fights more than 2 times after tomorrow. Win or lose, he's going to 170 by the looks of it. He did say he won't fight Belal so that could make things interesting (hell, he might not look out of place at 185), but he doesn't need the Tsarukyan fight for legacy. It will be interesting to see how things play out over the first half of the year.
