I think Khabib beats Oliveira. Khabib is too smart and too calculated to get dragged into the chaos of Oliveira.

.....but it would be a fascinating fight. The dude can crack, hurt Gaethje, Poirier, and Chandler on the feet, and has the most submissions in the UFC.

Yep. It obviously is just me wanting to see greats fight more. But it does suck to look back to Khabib's career and see how relatively inactive he was. It would have been nice to see him fight a few more top level guys before hanging it up.

But I think that is just latent wishing he had fought Ferguson before Ferguson fell apart.

Think you gotta do Oliveira vs Islam for the vacant title now and then Chandler and Beneil
Any combination of Dariush, Poirier, Chandler, and Gaethje would work. Probably a little too soon to see Gaethje-Chandler again, but I wouldn't complain about it.

Well UFC said if Charles won he becomes number one contender and gets next title shot. It really comes down to Dariush's injury. After Islam (or Ali) open his mouth like a fool and said he would take the RDA fight and save the fight night but then backed out, Dana said he would need to fight Dairush to lock up a title shot:

Butttttt Dariush is injured which is why their original fight got canceled so who knows when that will happen.

I'd love to see Khabib come back to face Oliveira, but would he even be interested? Does he see him as enough of a challenge to even bother coming out of retirement for? I feel like Khabib knows that he'd smash Charles, just like he smashed all of his other opponents.

Might just be a huge Chandler fan but I honestly think he’d be an interesting matchup for Khabib :dunno:
I think Oliveira is a bigger problem for Khabib, but Chandler’s power and explosiveness could also be a problem pound for pound the guy is easily one of the strongest guys in the UFC. He’s an animal
