UEFA Nations League 2025

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Lack of experience showing for Croatia, long term probably better for these guys to experience this now than in bigger tournament

France deserved winners, by far the better team outside the opening half in Split. Croatia I don’t think had shot on target

Slight bright spot for Croatia they get (on paper) a more manageable WCQ group with less crazy travel and more minnows. Though Czech and Ukraine are about equal quality the lower pot teams are weaker in the Czech group

Spain also go through on penalties. They don't play as well as they did last summer but they still got the job done. If they play like this against France though they won't go through.

looks like I picked the right half too miss lol

We held on, but this is why I wanted to start with Andrich & Stiller behind the front 4. That first goal against was almost as inexcusable as our 2nd.

Gunna need to be a lot more stable against Portugal. Hopefully we can roll out:

Kleindienst/Füllkrug
Wirtz - Burkardt/Undav - Musiala
Andrich/Nmecha - Pavlovic/Stiller
Schlotterbeck - Tah - Rüdiger - Kimmich

Well, yesterday was pretty decisive lol - France battered us and deserved to win.
I understand taking the Atletico approach seems wise when you're up 2-0, but the fact that the entire defense + the GK played an outstanding game... and we still weren't remotely close to being competitive sort of sucks..

On the bright side, we get the WC qualifying group with easier opponents (on paper), plus 2 extra games - which might be useful at integrating Ivanovic, potentially Vuskovic in the team... And hopefully Luka Sucic is healthy for a good round of competitive games.
