I don't disagree, but the response to trailing 1-0 and being unable to create things is to swap both fullbacks and take off one of your most creative players so that you can move Fred up the midfield.

Bruno controlled it, there was just no space for the shot to go through.

It went off his knee after he chested it down which is why it went so far in front of him. It's a tough ball to control coming so flat from so far, but it's a control you expect a player of Bruno's quality to make pretty often.
