WJC: U20 Men's Division III Istanbul

The U20 season wrapped up yesterday with the final of the U20 Div III tournament in Istanbul. Australia beat Israel 4-1 in pretty free-flowing game. The two teams combined for more than 80 shots. I caught a bit of the game and it seemed that Australia controlled the play most of the way; Israel's goaltender let in a couple of softies, which didn't help.

Earlier in the day, Bulgaria beat Turkiye 8-3 to claim bronze.

Final rankings:
Australia
Israel
Bulgaria
Turkiye
New Zealand
Kyrgyzstan
Bosnia and Herzegovina
South Africa

As @Fedz and @GermanSpitfire had noted, the players of note for the tournament were three who were playing in North American leagues. Australia's Dmitri Kuleshov finished with 29 points (17+12) in six games, including three points in the final and countryman Riley Langille was second with 20 points (9+11). Israel's Mike Levin was third with 19 points (12+7). Kuleshov was named best forward; Israel's Nir Sigalov was best defender and Turkiye's Furkan Duran was best goalie.
