Very impressed by Aho, I expected him to look exhausted after playing a very tough playoff series and flying to Switzerland this morning.

Ok so now that Aho is going to score and Finland wins, NÄHÄÄNKÖ TORILLA?

Who's gonna swim in Manta allas?

If he had defenseman prospect level of Ristolainen or Pokka / Vatanen / Maatta, we would have much more offense. We are icing it most of the time or really struggling otherwise in our own end with easing the play. Offense is really talented if it gets any room with the rush but we get outplayed too bad in own end.

At least these guys know that kova ränni is never a bad choise when you don't have good chance to open the play.. no turnovers. Still.. it takes one good opening pass if its really good..

This could have easily been double digits if Vehvilainen didn't bring his A game tonight.

Though USA has been wasting a lot of scoring chances by trying to play too cute.

Seems like both teams are kind of tired. The game just doesn't have the drive of a gold-metal match. Of course you can see the difference in offensive ability, but I'm not going to lose any sleep for injustice if Finland does win this. We are playing (relative to this being junior hockey) tight defense* and Vehviläinen is great, but US lacks finishing as well.

*considering the opposition is much better than us

Well, I almost never believe in "unjustified" results - this game is about scoring, not about almost scoring. And Finland has had 3 posts in this match and a great chance in the final seconds of the regular time, but, still, I think the US might actually deserve to win...

Finland has to start controlling the puck. When they get it in their own zone they just dump and lose control.

The outlook of Finns lackluster effort atm makes this just a waiting game for the inevitable victory of team USA.
