We're looking really strong now vs the Czechs. Team seems to have depth in the sense that there aren't huge gaps in level of talent. No clear superstars but more stars or almost star level players.

Kakko is the 1st ofc, but I also like Tanus, Nordgren, Ranta.. I am not a big fan of Kotkaniemi's penalties but he has played well. This team is fun to watch, have to give credit to our coaching too.

I don't know what lineup we had in that tournament but we don't usually invest a lot in that tournament because it clashes with the Lake Placid U-20 tournament and the best U-18 players tend to be there plus some are fighting for spots in their Liiga clubs.

Finland never has any kind of success at Ivan Hlinka or U17 hockey challenge... those are black hole tournaments for us.

I looked at our roster there and it was nearly the same.. Maybe we just don't have any success in that tournament. Many good age groups have failed there so..

This team can skate! I actually really like our coach, looks like he has a great personality. Fits well for U18 kids.
