you are correct, I agree with Leddy, Harmonic not the type of player we want for Toffoli. We need more of a mover than a two way D to replace Voynov. And that puck mover still has to hold his own on the D-side (just in case someone offers something silly). If Leddy ever becomes available Toffoli is your man.

No way. The Kings struggle to score as is and you would be willing to trade the only one that can. You only trade Toffoli if you are getting a super player back like a Karlsson or PK Subban type or a package of really gifted scoring forwards back that are NHL ready.

At the moment no lead is safe with our defense, even when Quick was in goal. I rather win 2-1 than loose 4-2. And in 2012 we won with no high end winger like Toffoli, but with a transition game that allowed our mid-level wingers to be a position forcheck and succeed. Our forwards feel like they have compensate on a lot of plays and end up out of position.

The Kings are one of the most offensively inept teams, so they're going to trade their best goal scorer who is also among the youngest players on the team?

Yeah, that makes plenty of sense. C'mon people, is it too hard to ask for common sense around here?

starting point would be hamonic and barzal / dal colle and a pick. I think both sides easily pass.

Kings current roster, excluding their core, consist of a bunch of unproven third/fourth liners who can't close. Trading Toffoli would be suicide for the Kings. He's their top goal scorer.

He's probably going to be the only reason we have offense this year. It's impossible to trade him unless it was a nonsensical deal for another elite scoring talent which very rarely happens.

Back then the game was slower. Bigger teams that could grind didn't have many teams with speed to go against. The prospects coming out in the last few drafts have been more of the smaller skilled guys with speed. Many teams had to adapt because that's all the could pick. The Kings went for the bigger grinders in the draft that have 3rd/4th line potential to fit the system. But the system is outdated now because there aren't many big skilled guys and the little guys can't grind in the system. So trading one of the best wingers that can score and somewhat grind would be dumb. It will be easier to find a replacement Top4 Dman in the Kings prospects than to find a scoring prospect like Toffoli.

I'm not a big fan of Toffoli - much prefer Jeff Carter and Doughty and Kopitar and Muzzin - I also like Pearson - I agree he probably doesn't get moved but he's not Mario Lemieux or anything

When you're the Kings and it's Toffoli or Kopitar, yes you're correct. It's not even that he's untouchable, it's that he's worth far more to the Kings than any other team so to acquire him the cost would be counter productive.

Second that notion. We have scrubs that can't score, defence that can't skate and Kopitar, Carter and Toffoli relied upon to put pucks in the net.

Fellow Kings fans, if we trade Toffoli there's a good chance we can replace him with whoever we draft in the top 4 next year! :)

We're not in a place to do moves like that unless we're going full rebuild and even then TT would be one to hold onto as he is still so young to fit into a rebuild plan.
