True he has to prove himself. He is still struggling with the surgeries. I would not say he will be worth his contract but what you are saying is a bit insane. It is also not just points he provides a ton of metics you clearly don’t pay attention too.

Huh? His “metrics” suck as bad as his production this year. He’s getting absolutely pulverized at even strength. He’s not even shooting that poorly. He’s just an inefficient offensive player right now who gets eviscerated defensively. He’s still pretty good at face-offs and has been efficient on the PP. but that’s about it. He doesn’t kill penalties, he’s not physical. There’s not a lot there right now.
