Am I the only one who likes what he sees in this guy? I thought he played with grit and heart las night against the Rangers. Seems like he's got all the makings to be a true Flyer. Thoughts?
he wasn't bad but i'm not sold on him getting pp minutes.
I think that was more of a chemistry thing with Schenn and Couturier. I'm pretty sure the three of them were on the same PP line in the AHL.

Wasn't couts on PP 1 last night ?

Couts was out on the 5 on 3 PK kill as well last night.
I still like Wellwood better...
I don't think any of us are going to forget that shift. After that happened i knew we were going to win that game.
Best PK kill I have seen in a while, funny I was making fun of the Flyers PK before the 5 on 3, it sure shut me up afterward. Couts is developing into a great 2 way forward especially his defensive play. Coburn's play is definitely better this year, he seems to have a jump in his game and is shooting at the net a lot more. I believe the game last night was exactly what the Flyers needed to get back in the standings and start playing more smoothly and their aggressive play is what wins them games.
I agree about coburn however is it just me or does he take the stupidest penalties ever ? It's like someone tell us we have to keep PIM up every year.
