This was a good day.

:handclap:

I see 2014 Cup run as trade-off for last two seasons. Gods were on Kings side during that run and last two seasons were pay-back... :naughty:

This was a magical run. So many memorable moments. One of my personal favorites was when they killed a 5 on 3 PK vs the sharks. The crowd went nuts.

A-Mart is so critical to the Kings success on the blue line. When he went down to injury this year, that was my 2014 "we're ****ed" moment. Similar to Slava in 2013. Hard to rebuild a top 6 blueline in a year or two or three.

Martinez was the hero in the Chicago series as well. "Just throw it on net!"

One of the crazier championship runs anyone will ever see. 2012 was the first one, but the tension of 2014 was great. To beat who they had to beat, in the way they ended up having to do it.

I miss watching them win in the playoffs. Those 3 years were too much fun.

I doubt it'll ever happen again. 21 games in the first 3 rounds. All road win game 7's. A reverse sweep in Round 1, and then all the OT games in Round 4, including the longest game in Kings history.

No team had ever won TWO game 7's and won the Cup in the same playoff year, much less three. It was a miraculous run.

That's what makes the Kings 2 Cups so incredible. They set all sorts of "firsts" during both runs. It's ridiculous the achievements compiled for those 2 teams. Start every series 3-0. Win the Cup after starting 0-3 in Round 1? Bwahahaha.

The 2011 Bruins did win three game 7's en route to the Cup.

I still spend a couple hours every now and then remeniscing the '12 and '14 runs by watching the game highlights on Youtube. I think they are both special and more than just your ordinary Stanley Cup playoff runs. Not just because it's my team but because of how they went down. I am biased though, of course. It's been said a million times already but the runs being from "different ends of the spectrum" really make them unique in general. From planet dominating dinosaurs to post-apocalyptic cockroaches that wouldn't go away.

True... what I meant was 3 game 7's to get to the Final is what had not been done before. Bruins had Montreal in 7, then Flyers in 4 then Tampa Bay in 7.

And that isn't even considering the underlying facts of those game 7's ALL being on the road. Never ever will that be done again.

How awesome were those two nights first the total domination run of 12 and then the pure heart of 14 made all of those heart break years go away , no game six heroics by rogie and butchie to get us threw the 70's , no miracle on Manchester to fall back on when we lost the next series in the 80's , no hatred for 33 and the ghosts of the Canadien forum to get us by for a few more years in the 90's , then the frenzy for the opening of a whole nother miserable decade, but then and oh what a BUT then it finally came true June 12th 2012 oh what a night and the people rejoiced and rejoiced, section 317 had a massive group hug that I will take to my grave, very few dry eyes anywhere in the building , this night was and will be my favorite simply because it was dominated by kings fans that had long waited for it , not to say bandwagoners didn't enjoy it but there is a special joy in following a team for decades that was not overly embraced by others, not because it wasn't a great sport but simply because they didn't win much lol, finding this web site was one of my favorite things because most of you guys get it , the passion and pure joy of our KINGS over the years confused some , the tens of thousands we have spent , with only the joy you get with seeing a rookie come along and inside your head you think he could lead us to a cup or get a goalie in a trade and think " if he gets hot " we could go deep , well finally we got our cup and **** we got another holy moly so if we never win again we got ours (and one more then the ducks ) so going to stop here because I could rant about it for awhile .........can't wait for next run Go Kings Go

I am not a big fan of Emrick and his shrill voice, but that call of the SCWG for Martinez was perfect. Just the right thing to say, and then let the crowd do the screaming.

"Brown thundering..." prior to his shot deflected by Carter for goal 2 of the 3 goal major PP was his most memorable call for me in 2012. And I'm not a Doc fan either.

One of the best series I've ever witnessed. The absolute 2 best teams in the league going blow for blow.

Both teams totally going for , even with the lead. Neither teams backed into a defensive shell by putting 4 guys across the blueline like most teams would, they just played balls out hockey.:handclap:

2012 and 2014 was two of the best years of my life. What an epic epic run from both seasons. Believe it or not still on a high, yeah yeah we haven't done well the past two seasons but the cups will last a lifetime. I'm already in tears thinking about it. Honestly though I seriously hope we don't go on another 50 years of suckage.

Chicago VS LA game 7 recap.

The best game that I have ever seen. Two of the best teams in the league playing their absolute best trying to one up each other. Getting revenge on them from the year before was a great feeling. I thought it was all over when the Hawks won game 6.

The whole run was a whirlwind of of emotions. Coming from behind against the Sharks, defeating the Ducks for the first time, one of the best series you'll ever watch against the Hawks and 4 OT against the Rangers capped of by Martinez. What a memorable run
