TV Movie Thread Part Iii

The new Cheech & Chong film is well-received.
I remember watching the original Cheech & Chong at our local drive In back in the day . It was hilarious despite me not knowing much about the whole pot culture .

My dad and I didn't have the best of relationships, but he knew I loved movies. One time in the early 80s we went to see a Cheech and Chong double-feature (Nice Dreams was one of them). It was funny to see him laugh to it.

Another time he took my brother and I to a Planet of the Apes marathon. We saw all 5 movies that day.

I saw an ad for one of the Final Destination movies. A lawn mower magically comes alive and pops a wheelie so it's blades can come down on it's victim. 😂

I once saw a flying lawnmower during a halftime show of a Jets game at windy Shea Stadium come down and kill someone in the crowd. After that, I have no problem believing a lawn mower magically comes alive to kill someone in a movie.

They thought the best way to dispose of a dead whale was to blow it up! 😂 A MILB team named themselves the Exploding Whales after it. I'm not kidding! Their logo is

Gold, Jerry. Gold!!!
I remember we were working at my parents home back in the 80's and there was a movie on TV with John Candy and Tom Hanks in it and they were blowing up a bunch of clear balloons ....my Mom said " I wonder where they got the clear balloons ?" My business partner looked at me and we started laughing....they were blowing up condoms .....I don't think either of us told her the difference .....

Anyone have Prime? I just watched a trailer for Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity. How is this not an all time classic movie? The production was top notch. The acting was award worthy. I highly recommend at least watching the trailer. :D

I have Prime and one of the greatest con men films of all time, House of Games, is on there. It's Mamet's directorial debut and he wrote the screenplay. It has great dialogue and a great plot. I don't trust RT's ratings but it's 97%. You should check it out. @majordomo

Saw this a long time ago. It was really good. Redbelt was another good Mamet flick. Spanish Prisoners wasn't bad either.

Was going to watch it for free with subscription on Peacock+ I think, but probably because of current events they removed it so now I'm supposed to rent it on Apple+? No way.

BTW I started watching You on Netflix and it looks promising. Is it going to be a twist on Dexter?
Amazon has a deal where they stream movies about a couple of months after they first come on Peacock. My brother wanted to re-watch Conclave. He coudn't find it on Peacock, so I told him to look on Amazon. It was there.

Re You: Temu Dexter maybe. Similar in that they are serial killers, but that's about it imo.

I thought on Amazon Prime would be for a rental fee too.

I loved Dexter (fist 4 seasons) but it was too much for my wife. Maybe she'll like this one better
