They're gonna have to come to a compromise. This was the wrong season to do this because rather than people panicking or needing their Rangers fix, they're just gonna do other stuff with most of the teams playing poorly; it's going to tank MSG Networks and Optimum is going to lose so many subscribers between now and March.
This could be the perfect time.....maybe by losing subscribers and money these "giants" will finally acknowledge that the fans do matter (HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! Who am I fooling?)

MSG has been dark on Comcast since 2021, so a near term compromise with Optimum is not a given.

I agree....if the past is any indication, this "battle" could drag on and on with each side accusing the other of trying to gouge the subscribers when, in reality, they are both guilty.

I've said it once and I'll say it again....I was never happier than the day I finally cut the cord and got rid of my TV service. I wish I'd kept track of how much money I saved -- if I remember correctly, I pocketed about $90 the very first month.

Just finished both seasons of The Diplomat on Netflix. I’ve been a big fan of both leads since The Americans and The Man in the High Tower and the story has been pretty good as well. So I do recommend it and looking forward to s3 hopefully not too far into the future.

If you liked those shows, try Patriot on Prime.

I haven't seen the US version of this....is it good? I loved the UK version.
House of Cards with Kevin Spacey is great!!! It started slipping in later seasons but at least first 3 were very good. The last season when Spacey got cancelled and was removed from the series is unwatchable.

I'm watching Wicked right now. I must confess that I took an instant dislike to Ariana Grande the first time I laid eyes on her (I think it was Aretha's funeral) without ever seeing her or hearing her "sing". After an hour of Wicked, I can honestly say I totally despise her. I didn't think I'd ever find someone more annoying that Shia LeBoeuf (sp?), but there she is!!!

Ariana and Cynthia Erivo were straight up weird during the film press tour.

My streaming DTV was $35 seven years ago. Now its $95. Id like to find an alternative that is less.

This is what I use. I haven’t come up with a cheaper way to get MSG, SNY, YES, ESPN, and TNT.
I found a lot of streams -- so now I only have internet service (which is also getting MUCHO expensive...especially since Spectrum has a monopoly in my area.

There's a lot of legacy subscriptions for Cablevision/Optimum that go back to when Sam was first calling games. I think it'll be resolved by the start of next season. This season is a moot point.

Both companies are going to lose a lot of money despite what Altice thinks. They have people who will never come back. The Post article only talks about 1 million in NYC. The entire Tri State Area is what will get them.

Do you use Direct TV streaming via a Computer?

Basically my plan for now is to sit this one out and not let either side get one additional cent. This season is toast anyway and my gym gets MSG so I'll be able to watch on more than just the national broadcasts/radio.

If this somehow drags on into the fall, then I'll probably come back here and ask about options whether it's the Gotham APP, Direct TV, or something else.

I understand how you feel about Deep Space 9. It had a totally different vibe than the other shows. I've wondered if its
because most of the action is at the Space Station -- which kind of conflicts with title "star trek". In a way, it did remind me a lot
of the soaps.
DS9 was the show that really started being morally grey. It was still Star Trek, but really pushed things. Once Worf came on board and they got the Defiant, the show was cooking and great up until the end.

Alien Romulus was awful. Nothing more than a bad script that was a greatest hits of the series with zero originality to offer. The Ripley line near the end was groan inducing.
The first 10 minutes was really interesting and then it became rehash. It's a shame so many people thought it was great.

The rankings I've seen have DS9 as the best and Picard as the worst.
Picard Season 1 had good ideas and poor execution. Season 2 was an embarrassment. And Season 3 when they weren't trying to do shot for shot or line for line winks to old Trek/FanService, was really good the first five episodes. The second half of the show was literally rehash and was comically bad or offensive.
