Just watching 6th episode of Dune Prophecy -- honest assessment: this will be my last. The constant switching from the past to the present without any warning really wrecks the flow of the story -- which would work well if they stayed in one time period.
We finished it. I'm sure that I'll give s2 a shot, but not sure how I feel about s1. Too much going back and forth in time. Why have people abandoned linear story-telling? Anyway, I think I disliked it less than that first season of House of Dragons, another spin-off from classic stories.

LOL....it would be a perfect day for a 10 hour stream of Landman if they were into season 3 but unfortunately we are in its rookie season at this stage .

Oh well....Happy Holidays everyone ! Enjoy the day with your family members....our holidays as usual will be very quiet...and that is not all bad either !

I'm loving Landman. Billy-Bob is amazing.

I worked for a major Oil&Gas company for 20 years. In one role I was the Performance Manager for the Drilling division of the company and I used to have to track HSE reporting.

It's a dangerous industry for sure, but safety was ingrained in our culture. We would have been crucified for all the injuries and deaths we have seen on the show in the first few episodes. I guess it makes for good tv drama though.

Ali Larter is a smokeshow on Landman and so is that 27-year old actress playing his 17 year old daughter. I crack up every time I see the lawyer's reaction to both of them half naked in the house.

Depends on how much you like season 1. I thought the storyline was a great as it has a bit of everything (which is common on UK shows). I especially enjoyed the characters. Season 2 is definitely not as good as the 1, but it is good entertainment.

We just started it last week and we're through half of s2. I have mixed feelings. It's entertaining (after that first episode that took me like 5 attempts to get through) and I like the sisters, but sometimes I think it should have been called Idiot Sisters instead of Bad Sisters. Their plans are terrible and their reactions are worse. Rule #1 of doing anything bad is not telling anyone. I realize that they are "normal" people, but their reactions with the cops always raise suspicion. Learn to just keep your mouths shut.

Anyway, I'm trying to decide which character is the most annoying: the insurance agent from s1, the old lady from s2, or the young female detective from s2? I guess they make for a good foil, but man you just want the sisters to punch them or something.

Annoying: definitely Angelica. Most hated: JP hands down.

I was thinking about your response during my morning commute and I began to wonder if you didn't take the show too seriously. I believe the book/show were written as a satire rather than serious drama/mystery.
