Post-Game Talk: Turns out it wasn't about the playoffs, but about the friends we made along the way.

This season kind of destroyed all the confidence the previous year built up. Miller gone, Pettersson a huge question mark, very few top six forwards of note. Defense looks good, but really this group has to play like a team and not rely so heavily on Hughes. The net could be a strength, but certainly Demko is another huge question mark.

You'd think this season would have moved them towards something, but it's like there was no traction at all this season, and they floundered as much as any flounder has floundered.
I mean the team is less talented with Miller out replaced by Chytil and MP.

So it was a year we took a step back for sure.

If Lord Farquaad decided not to throw a tantrum, your last season may have gone better.

A season to forget,
Hats off to JR and Allvin for this extremely frustrating and disappointing train wreck of a season. :banghead:

Thankfully it's finally over. There were a handful of a bright spots (EP25, Lankinen, Sherwood, Hughes), but unfortunately overshadowed by a bunch of colossal f*** ups and plenty of injuries

They fixed the defense way too late in the season, they should've done this by late November/early December.

There are 4-5 solid players in the farm system ( Ep2, Mancini, Lekk, Willander, Raty and maybe Kudryastov )
That’s 1/4 of the roster of the future
Hopefully we can hit on another Sherwood type….finally get a big fish in free agency and make some smart good acquisitions and this team will better and I would argue we are a playoff team that had injures

One of those seasons where you go “don’t smile because it’s over, cry because it happened.”

Life of a Canucks fan, on to the next one. Didn’t think when I was 21 I’d wait this long to see the Canucks make the playoffs in back to back seasons, yet 12 years later here we are still waiting.

Dismal game to end a dismal season. Lankanin was only thing preventing this from getting very, very bad. Indeed, Lankanin can be seen as the only thing that allowed some playoff aspirasions for as long as there were. If he isn't lights out to start the season, the Canucks would have been sunk by Xmas.

If this was Boeser's last game as a Canuck then it was an extremely uneventful one. For his sake, I hope he moves on to where the spotlight isn't so much on him.

Allvin and Co. made, obviously, some critical mistakes and over the next few days these will likely be discussed.

Get a top 6 centre + winger and Canucks should be loaded next season. This was probably a massive learning mess for Petey now that he’s the main man. He should come out as a monster next season.

Horvat gone, Miller gone, Boeser is soon to be gone.
He's the main man next season, everything goes through him.

Best part of this season was the development of D Petey, Mattias Ohlund 2.0

I am cautiously optimistic about Pedey. But I'm gonna hold my judgement til I see a full season out of him, specially when he's matched against some tougher customers on the other side.

Too many times I've got my hopes up for an up and coming young dman only to result in disappointment.

I dont think this is a Akita Hirose situation.

Players able to play regular minutes in the SHL at 18yr are legit NHL prospects.
