Meruelo is making out like a bandit in all of this. A billion dollars for the Coyotes and discounted operating costs for the Roadrunners. I guess he really is winning.
So guessing that was Bill Armstrong who didn’t like the 14games?Roadrunners announced today they’ll be playing a minimum of 30 home games in Tucson.
They’ll play 6 at Mullet (3 B2B) now instead of the 5 they were originally allowed under their lease. The lease is also extended another year (there were 2 left). EDIT: Additional year is not for sure yet but it was confirmed the Meruelos did make the offer.
Utah did not like the 14-game proposal.
Nutshell….. gets around all the “hurdles” Craig Morgan referred to early on.
No AHL approval needed. Getting OVG/ASU approval, etc.
My guess too. And it’s well founded. So guessing that was Bill Armstrong who didn’t like the 14games?
This is a strange setup. Does Utah retain rights over who is coach/GM? Does Utah make all player personnel decisions?
I don't understand it.
No way. All gingers belong to the UHC.Safe to assume Crotty is headed elsewhere?
what happened to the Tucson thread that was migrated from the Coyotes forum; and also, Utah/Tucson JUST SIGNED AN AFFILIATION w/ Allen in the ECHL
It still bothers me we lost the Coyotes. Thank the politicians for that. DUMB,DUMBER, DUMBEST AND MORE DUMBEST explains the political climate in Arizona. It bothers me that Meruelo still owns the RRs.
Hockey Club's Curtis Douglas: Given non-roster statusAnybody know what the status of Curtis Douglas is? We signed him to a 2 year 2-way contract in July. He wasn't in any pre-season games. And now puckpedia says he has been moved to the non-roster list. What does that mean? What is his actual status?
