He straight up said he was going to move the Roadrunners to Tempe. 6 games is as much of a negotiating win as losing the team to Utah, but keeping the brand rights was a W.

He said he would do it before knowing if he even could (or should.) He said himself he "spoke to soon."

You may find all this humorous but this is how a lot of these things go.

Only difference is with pro sports teams the dirty laundry gets aired out more.

Meruelo will be getting a rent break and a ticket fee will be removed.

Marquez told News 4 Tucson Rio Nuevo passed some incentives to keep the team in Tucson, including plans to pay half of their rent and associated expenses up to $240,000 dollars and removing the $2 per ticket fee that goes toward facilities.

I got an email from team about this - apparently I have the right of first refusal for the seats I had at Mullett for the Coyotes; news to me. $40.50 per (they were $143 per for the yotes in 23-24).

Heh, went back and checked - that expires on 7/1, so I have....4 days from the land auction to decide if I feel AM is making sufficient progress to justify $500 for 6 AHL games

Whether you want to support Meruelo or not, at least you could get the chance to cheer on some prospects. Raty, Geekie, Lamoureux, Lipkin Szuber. Maybe Lutz and Duda?
