GDT: TSN turning point. Flyers @ Leafs 7PM on SN

Keefe used to also play for Torts in Tampa.

There's a definite air of desperation to these constant changes to the 3rd and 4th lines through 11 games.

Keefe couldn't possibly be considering using Mete tonight with Reilly, could he?

To me this doesn't look anything like an easy one for the Leafs.

I don't care about Philly coming in on the 2nd of a B2B, teams always get motivated playing in Toronto. And with a backup in net for the Flyers and very favorable metrics leaning in the Leafs' favour, these guys know they should be able to fill the net tonight, because if they don't ... oh, boy. Confidence level? Pretty much shot.

The only thing that comment shows is he knows better not to throw the opposition coach under the bus right before the game. However he does not watch all the Leafs games like we do. He does not see all the head scratcher moves in the deployment of his players.
that said I’m not blaming Keefe for the predicament of the Leafs right now as that’s all on Shanny and Dubas . I do find it troubling that 2 years in a row he has been unable to have his team ready to play for the first 10 games of the season

Torts has to coach against Keefe and I am sure he watches enough Leaf games through scouting that he has a MUCH better grasp of how they are coached than you do or anyone else here.

You know a Torts team will jump on the Leafs right away and work hard. And Toronto starts slow and often get out worked.
Philly played last night so we should have the advantage but this is exactly the type of team we struggle with.
