Probably one of their best periods all season. Not saying much against Philly on a back to back but still.
This is it yet there are a few here that have little discernment of what is good vs bad play. What you said is obvious. I guess you can't fix stupid.

Leafs legend Jamal Mayers

I was so happy when we got him back 2008... Thought he would bring physical stuff and hits. Turned to be a total dud. Not even threat as a fighter

he was a beast the sharks (i think that was his previous team?)

I was so pumped when we got Kris Versteeg, the only thing I remember about him is he got his car keyed, than traded lol
that was me with bolland....boy that wnet no where.

Lol at main boards whining about the refs. This game is not like the Anaheim Game, we are outplaying the flyers, and each of their penalties were deserved.

Kraken toying with wright is sad

I actually like what Kraken's are doing
He's too good for OHL. There's nothing for him to gain there except for false sense of confidence with points

Keep him in NHL. Play him ever 5 games. He'll play about 25-30 games and insert him for injuries

NHL exposure still NHL exposure. He'll practice with NHL players, learn good habits, dietry tips, how to prepare

All those are just as valuable
People get too caught up playing time. Playing 25 games in NHL is better than playing 65 games in OHL

Fancies should only be supplementary to the eye test. As a bit of extra information to figure out why something is happening.

As Kyle Dubas has shown us - they absolutely can not be your primary decision making source.
I'm pretty neutral with Dubas. Like some of what he does but he has his faults. All of us do.

I guess he's a pretty big analytics guy so yeah sometimes it doesn't work out.

It's always about round 1 with this team now.
But yes I've always thoughts stats are great to a degree. If it gives you an edge or shows how to expose specific teams etc... all for it... but stats don't show everything on the ice.

Many teams do well and aren't top 5 teams in a bunch of areas. It's a big part but it misses a lot still and for me that's okay. You can't quantify everything.

2 big things I don't think you can ever teach is goalies making huge saves in big moments... Cujo, Balfour, even Potvin as much as he let in stinkers through the 5 hole. Same with players... clutch goals. Killer, Roberts, Sundin etc.

Also when you're at a game it's crazy how much more behind the scenes shit you see compared to TV. Sometimes it's like watching a different game.

Sorry long rant lol
