Just focusing on Red Wings here...

I thought it was just a bad take having Power was ranked over Seider. (Or Sanderson) Then I saw Wyatt Johnston 8 spots over Raymond and figured nah, this list just sucks.

... Then I started looking for Simon Edvinsson. He's not ranked. Easton f***ing Cowan is though.

And finally... Trey Augustine is 39th on the list while Sebastian Cossa is not ranked. What. The. F***.

Connor McMichael is playing really well right now and it's not luck. He's a legit good player who has taken a nice step forward.

If the other NHL teams have 49 players under 24 better than him, then damn, congratulations to them I suppose.

you'd think for a guy like Caufield he would have to produce a lot for being a guy that is primarily there for scoring goals to get that kind of respect but apparently not.

No Alex Vlasic?

I didn't even notice that (which is sort of like watching Vlasic, he does so much so well defensively that he's got that level of being unnoticed in casual viewing). That's a glaring omission.

The bait, it has been clicked. Bleh.

Trying to figure out how Power is 5 and Peterka didn't make the list.
Even Cozens has put up a 30/30+ season a decent amount of the guys on the list haven't even come close to that once as forwards. I still think Cozens can have a pretty good season this year just has to actually finish. It is very wild for Peterka not to be up here after putting up nearly 30 goals last year and has looked even better this year so far.

That’s a bad list for TSN,
Celebrini and Bédard too high for starters.
What's your top 10?

All I have seen so far is people criticizing as if ranking 18-23 year olds going forward is any easy task.

One has to consider age, skill, ceiling and floor and development team situations and just plain luck.

I believe the list mainly projects how important these guys will be in their prime. It takes into account who will make it to the core of their organisation too, who drafted them factors in.

Awful awful list… what’s with the players that haven’t set foot on NHL ice ranked significantly higher than extremely good young NHLers??

Usually I don’t care about all these stupid rankings that come out but with this list I actually have to comment.

Plus also I get there is so much hype with Bedard, but cmon…#2???! Please

I can’t stop giggling at the players that Buium is ranked higher than lol

#16-19 need to be moved waaaaaaaaaaay down the list. Good prospects yes, but have no business being ranked that high
I don't really have any issues with Bedard at no.2 if the team wasn't destroyed before drafting him he would be a PPG 1C already which is probably better than anyone but Hughes.

I stared it, in the post you quoted, I think 2/3 are too high, as do others,
there are others I’d change, but lost interest after seeing top of list.

Easton Cowan is more likely to be a core player in Toronto than Simon Edvinsson in Detroit?

TSN does this list every year.
It combines the highest end prospects and their career projections with current NHL players
I've probably spelled a few names wrong

The right best young NHLers:

1) Jack Hughes
2) Bedard
3) Celebrini
4) Stützle
5) Power
6) Faber
7) Michkov
8) Caufield
9) Seider
10) Demidov
11) Carlsson
12) Luke Hughes
13) Boldy
14) Raymond
15) Fantilli
16) Lafreniere
17) Slafkovsky
18) Jarvis
19) Hutson
20) Stankoven
21) Parekh
22) Guenther
23) Lindstrom
24) Iginla
25) McMicheal

Including Augustine is wild to me. Most Wings fan have him about 5th in our system. This isn't to say he isn't a very solid goalie prospect but how he ranks above Cossa on any list right now is wild.

NHLers:
Seider
Ray
Edvinsson
Kasper

Prospects:
Cossa
Danielson
MBN
ASP
Augustine
