Trouba retained for a 7th is fine if there are no other (better) offers. I don't expect a huge haul, or even a small haul, but I do think 2-3 teams will consider him a sufficient fit to warrant some small but positive value
I suppose its possible he could try to solve a sudoku on the way to the airport, but some people just don't like that kind of puzzle. He would probably commit sudoku before agreeing to go back to the Jets.
I’d pay a 1st and sykora to get him to retire tbhRangers would have to attach a first and a good prospect to move his contract, but I’m sure he’d rather retire than come back here lol
Winnipeg doesn't need an expensive, declining 3 LHD.The Rangers were reportedly willing to retain $2M last summer. 25%.
Lindgren would be perfect for the Jets.
Trouba f***in blows and the Jets are a god-damn wagon. The question is why would the Jets want him back. Who cares where Trouba wants to go, he's lucky to be in the League at this point.
Or not at all and just put up good numbers against the Rags like they always do. Was Trouba on the ice when McD deked the entire team out?The Pissy Nutcracker and Mr. Dig In might think twice about cutting to the middle with him out there
As I suspected, you are high. I never responded to you.
Have you looked at the cap implications of buying out Trouba in the summer? That is a very tough contract to buyout. 4 million against the cap next season and 2 million the following season. There is no deal to be made.
It's a buyout this summer.
doubt he'd be ok w/a return
IF he did, in theory we want best offer
for 2 yrs 2.25 min retained what do you offer?
Agreed but he's a RHDWinnipeg doesn't need an expensive, declining 3 LHD.
Oh yes I’m sure Trouba yearns for those long ago days when he got to play on the same team as Tyler Myers.Yeah there is no chance Trouba ever comes back to Winnipeg as a Jet. 15 team NTC and Winnipeg will be on it.
I'm sure he'd love to go back to Detroit and play with his Michigan buddies, and Detroit needs a player like him but I can't see Drury trading him in the East with the Rags being in a precarious playoff position early in the season.
I'd say the most interesting one is Vancouver and the ongoing saga with JT Miller, and Pettersson, who is a fan favourite, and the top dog in salary. While Vancouver might be on Trouba's no trade list, the chance to play with Tyler Myers again, and specifically to play for Tocchet, who likes a Zadorov type hitter on the backend, might be a good career move for him. Miller has a full NMC so if he asks to be traded behind closed doors it's to a team of his choice. And you'd think the Rangers would be a great opportunity for him to be the top dog, with Zibanajed and Trochek having full NMCs and neither showing top C potential early in the year. Opportunity to play with Panarin would be a significant move for the Rangers, Throw a 1st in, and the Canucks can look on the market for a 2C who could fit as a replacement, like Brock Nelson or Gino.
The other market I think Trouba would fit in is Dallas, who would probably like another Chris Tanev type to drive their defense again. Not really getting that with Dumba. Not really sure what the impact of Lybushkin has been, Dallas fans would have better input than me.
I believe Snowman was quoting someone who was offering up Lindgren who is a LHDAgreed but he's a RHD
Lindgren is a LHD.Agreed but he's a RHD
