I hate these types of hits. He should be suspended.

It bothers me that Pachal wasn’t. I haven't seen a good angle of Chiarot's hit, so I can't speak to that.

In real-time I didnt think it was anything more than an open ice collision but seeing the replay, I can see Z getting 1-2 games.

The issue I have with it is he took 2 full strides after the pass was made. Gotta hold up on that.

I actually have more of an issue with it being late then high. Especially when the 6'6 guy got hit in the head by a 6'0 guy that didn't elevate or leave his feet.

Ya Im torn a bit. players naturally will lower themselves as they skate, so you cant really say "Rasmussen needs to keep his head up" he got blindsided by Z. Z does seems to be going for shoulder to shoulder contact, but body positioning on both players leads to the high hit.

No intent, but results are what they are. I lean towards 1 game. I could see there being no suspension and I can see there being 2 games, and everything in-between.

Honestly don’t see a big difference between what Zegras did and the hit on vatrano. Haven’t bothered watching replays of either but both were late head/neck shots no?

I actually think the hit on Vatrano was worse. It wasn’t close to being a hockey play. Zegras hit was just late, but it’s closer to being a hockey play. Chariot did an after the whistle assault.
