Trent Frederic

I don't know about that one. Smithson was silly the moment it happened. Frederic had risk, but wasn't nearly as silly. It could go down as comparable to the Athanasiou deal though. Without the COVID shutdown excuse of course.
The Green trade was a bad one was well. Giving up a mid range pick for an oft injury over the hill vet. And what happens? First game after the the trade, and bingo! Injured, big surprise. And then, chooses not to play in the playoffs due to Covid.

Yes but how can you judge that trade as bad when it was ruined by unforseen circumstances. Same with AA. He didn't have the chance to build his value and chemistry to make his qualifying offer worth it

The truly bad trades and moves are the ones where the whole thing was a bad idea. Ie Reinhart, Campbell, Lucic, etc

Reinhart must be the worst trade ever. Giving a 1st for a bust.

Maybe this one ?

(But yes the Reinhart trade on the basis of draft capital lost for what was “gained”.)

"Unforseen circumstances?" Come on, Mike Green had been a band-aid long before they traded for him. And him getting injured his first game after the trade confirmed that.

I'm referring to COVID 19

Injury wasn't why we didn't have Green for the playoffs
