Trent Frederic

alas I knew ye well. lol

Wait, lets get this straight. He reinjured his ankle, an ankle injury that had him out for months, but its somehow a foregone conclusion he's back in playoffs after playing 7mins in a game in which he had to come to the bench 3X for treatment?

No expert here as somebody will reply but I don't know we're getting the honest goods here either.
We still do not know what is up with Ekholm. This orginization, I'll tell you h'what.

Yeah, he is basically out the rest of the year now, including playoffs. A high ankle sprain doesn’t just magically heal in 12 days after you’ve already been out 2 months and just reinjured it.

It wasn’t two months he last played feb 25th so a bit less than 6 weeks. Not a good look either way though.

Tell us how you really feel about out coach.
Funny how it's only Knob and not Coffey considering defensive screwups are just as bad as our offense.

This fan base deserves Tortorella.

Edit: maybe you needed to put that sarcastic emoji after every paragraph. I got triggered as well.

I don't mind Knobby but I like to take fun pokes at his idiosyncratic interviews. Yes the little yellow man has been getting a workout in my latest posts lol

No one deserves Torts, especially not Drai and Mcdavid

He wouldn't take the Edmonton job anyways. He refused to live in Canada when he worked for the Nucks and commuted from Washington state every day, supposedly he absolutely hated it up here and it caused a lot of friction with the Nucks organization.

Ultimately we traded for a guy who is going to walk in the summer and IF he plays for us won’t be very effective because he will be trying to get up to playoff speed and coach will be giving him limited minutes because he will know nothing about how the player fits and doesn’t have time to experiment and let him play thru it in the playoffs.

What a f***ing abysmal trade.

I don't know that Frederik can walk.

Thats an injury pun...

Yeah, kinda hard to imagine him being able to give us much on ice even if he is back in lineup, and what desperation there is from the club even putting him there.

sigh

Thats one f*** of a commute. I once spent 2hrs just *driving* from DT Van to the border crossing. Well really it was the often occurring road parking lot in the lower mainland. Some of the elevated highway at least had a decent view. I almost got out the mini Barbecue to flip some burgers while waiting in the traffic. If it had 4 wheels and maybe a hitch it could've worked easily..

In anycase we'd all hate the Canucks org. Not the strongest point, just saying. ;)

I’ve had the usual tears and breaks that all weekend warriors get, and the accompanying surgeries, but the worst injury I’ve ever had was a high ankle sprain. Worst as in how bloody long it takes to heal, and how many false starts and stops you have until it is actually healed. It’s a real pain in the ass, so I sympathize with what Frederic is going thru. Very frustrating injury.

From what I remember at the time, he was spending 2 - 4 hours a day commuting, and was showing up late for team functions all the time, which was pretty hypocritical considering how hard he comes down on players who do the same thing. They apparently installed a bed in his office or something to try and get him to show up on time and be more present with the team, but all he really wanted to do was spend as little time in Canada as was required to get his paycheck.

The injury is concerning but he looked like just what our team needed. The fact that he's going to have to shake off his rust during the playoffs is not good
