Trent Frederic with a Dimitri Samorukov-esque debut. 2 goals against in 7 minutes lol. At least we know that he's alive now?

He had the misfortune of being on the ice the same time as the struggling Brent Kulak.Trent Frederic with a Dimitri Samorukov-esque debut. 2 goals against in 7 minutes lol. At least we know that he's alive now?
Just shows how little plus minus means to the intelligent fan.Trent Frederic with a Dimitri Samorukov-esque debut. 2 goals against in 7 minutes lol. At least we know that he's alive now?
Oh first goal against is for sure on Kulak and Janmark, funny statline nonetheless. He had the misfortune of being on the ice the same time as the struggling Brent Kulak.![]()
Lol, good assessment. I saw a guy clearly still feeling his recent injury finish every check, get in scrums and go to the hard areas of the ice. An area the Oilers have been clearly lacking for awhile. If you want to pin the -2 on him then have at it. If he doesn't reinjure himself he will pay dividends in the playoffs, especially against the Kings.Trent Frederic with a Dimitri Samorukov-esque debut. 2 goals against in 7 minutes lol. Yeah you're right. Per PuckPedia, it's defined as days "in the regular season" - so I'm not sure it would work.
I checked the wording in the CBA and it mentions calendar days, but maybe there's an exception as the season comes to a close and further clarification is provided elsewhere.
Wouldn't Knoblauch have had input in who we traded for?Knoblock will hate this guy. He actually hits which will piss Nobby right off. Not sure who Nobby will hate more, Frederic or JSkinner who doesn’t hit but scores goals, something else Nobby hates. Janmark is the perfect Nobby player. Skates a million miles and kills penalties but does nothing else useful.
Hopefully we can extend him but the Oilers are back to the Chiarelli-esque sign undrafted nobodies in Europe for peanuts and pray they aren’t total duds phase.
Sucks his ankle doesn’t look near ready for full contact yet. Not sure how effective he will turn out to be in a short window. Fully healthy would be a fun fan favorite to watch.
But we will have more Janmarks per Nobby.![]()
Like his input on free agency lolWouldn't Knoblauch have had input in who we traded for?
What's proof that Knob hates physical players? He loved Desharnais until he couldn't keep up with the play deep in the playoffs. He only stopped playing Kane because his health fell apart. Knob leans on Perry a lot considering his age, and his grit is likely a big reason why.
The team didn't hit a lot this season but look what Bowman and Jackson handed him at the start. Desharnais, Holloway, Foegele out. Skinner, Arvidsson, Stecher, Emberson in.

I can’t remember which of the talking heads it was, maybe it was Rishaug, saying Ekholm looks physically skinnier and not his normal thick self. That has me worried that this isn’t an injury- but a respiratory virus. It was going around. I had walking pneumonia over Christmas and it took me months to recover and to even have the lung capacity to play pickup basketball- again. I’m a weekend warrior- not a professional athlete- can’t even imagine the impact this has on themI'd prefer he play in the NHL to get up to speed. I'd also like Ekholm to be shut down until the playoffs
Kulak has been brutal. Moving him this past offseason when he was coming off a high performing playoffs and making room for Broberg should have been the move.He had the misfortune of being on the ice the same time as the struggling Brent Kulak.![]()
Thanks as always. It was interesting wording since it explicitly says 10 regular season games but does not mention regular season in the "days" count. It's not a distinction one would expect to come up but it does make a difference with Ekhom. The CBA says 24 calendar days, not 24 Regular Season Days.
However multiple sources have claimed the NHL is applying the rule as 24 regular season days. Possibly one of the many non-public rules interpretations the NHL and PA have agreed on.
We pretty much f’d over Broberg to keep a 3rd pairing D in the lineup. I wanted to move Kulak during the 23 offseason to make room for Broberg but you apparently you can’t win with young players.Kulak has been brutal. sick trade Bowman
Even if he comes back he's going to be at 50% and will likely re-hurt that ankle. High sprain ankles need a full off season to properly rehabilitate. Andreas 2.0 with the assets we had to give up to get him. Boston fleeced the shit out of usalas I knew ye well. lol
Wait, lets get this straight. He reinjured his ankle, an ankle injury that had him out for months, but its somehow a foregone conclusion he's back in playoffs after playing 7mins in a game in which he had to come to the bench 3X for treatment?
No expert here as somebody will reply but I don't know we're getting the honest goods here either.
