For Fred. until recently he’s been horrible. I don’t doubt anyone would argue against that. And yes using the eye test.

I would definitely argue him being "horrible"...Horrible to me is actively costing us the game, which I don't think he has. Perhaps it is just semantics on the wording, he for sure has underperformed

Okay ignore the eye test and go by Fred s stats first half of season.

Just having a bit of fun with it Clearly there are some things we don't see, but it always bugs me a little bit when a guy is playing poorly and it is plain to everyone watching, but someone else will throw out some advanced stat to show that "no, actually he is playing really well." Eye test is clearly valid in a lot of cases. I don't think it works so well when you are trying to judge someone's mentality or psychology (i.e. the Krejci doesn't care crowd, or the Tuuka is a quitter crew).

Fredric was good. He has been better since maybe a game or two before they played in Toronto. He looked amazing in Toronto too. I feel like the bruins didn’t work hard enough in the summer and they came to camp a little less conditioned.

You could be right, but who knows, I think there is a lot that many of us will guess what went wrong, so many have just sub-par seasons, that is why there are so much to question. I have always liked Freddy, and just wonder what happened to him, he just fell off, maybe you are right, many of them just did not much off season.

Take it with a grain of salt, he thinks Coyle is amazing.

5. He is not a heavy weight like a Joey Kocur or Shawn Thornton even. He’s a hockey player who will fight. He’s easy to go after but he’s a legit top 9 and he’s young and homegrown

If he goes I doubt he’s able to be replaced other then internally by a guy like Beecher

Tony Granato was on Hockey Now with EJ hradek and was raving on how talented Frederic is and how much he loved Trent at Wisconsin. He was saying that he had to change his game to make it in the pros, and when he was drafted by the Bruins, he asked what he had to do to make the big club and he changed his game accordingly. Big time kudos to him!!

Frederic thoughts from last night

1. At about half way thru first period Frederic skated up to Lilleberg who was set at left defense spot and was I’m sure telling him he’s or they are coming for him. Frederic wasn’t looking to go there but they chirped as TF skated to LW spot about 15 feet away. There were a couple of look backs and Frederic was in F U a-hole mode.

2. Frederic shoulder seemed to pop I believe in third early on at top of goal crease as Tampa was swarming. He was about 15 feet from us and all of a sudden he winced and grabbed his upper arm usually indicating shoulder issue. He headed for bench in pain and headed for room but returned in 5 minutes

3. I read all the virgins on Twitter downplaying his fight connect ratio but they showed his knuckles when in the box from the center ice video board and they were seriously bloodied. He connected with something and curious if he broke anything

I’d be skeptical if he is fighting any time soon - looks like may need some healing

4. The refs and linesmen seem to like him. I notice a few times they said stuff to him and the vibe on both seemed good
