My Jets have been rumoured to be interested in Brock Boeser. I'm not thrilled with that. Then I thought if adding a winger is the plan, why not do better if they plan to stay with Lowry as our number 2 centre.

Then I thought of Konecny. He is 27 and unlikely to be in his prime when the Flyers are ready to contend. Maybe he wants a shot at the Cup. I am sure Flyer fans will let me know. Thanks.

If i were TK, i wouldn't be against a trade. This Flyers team is going nowhere for years to come, he may as well earn his money on a contender, but we won't be retaining a penny.

You can't afford him, tbh.

Flyers would want a top 10 pick, your best prospect, and a young NHL player.

If the Flyers are going to move him, and get full value, they should do it before the M-NMC kicks in with the contract extension. He's having a really good year. A high-end, three asset, return is warranted.

Konecny's the Flyers' best moveable asset (Michkov, obviously, isn't available for any package any team would actually offer.) The only way the Flyers should be able to justify a Konecny trade is if we have reasonable confidence that the primary asset coming back is, or will be, a 1C who fits stylistically with Michkov, and who will still be in his prime when Michkov enters his (optimally, 25 or younger.) Of course, those kinds of players aren't readily available, but neither are players like Konecny. Then, we would need additional assets to mitigate the Flyers taking on the bulk of the risk in the deal, since TK's a finished product, and we'd be getting back a primary asset who would still need to develop into the player we're looking for.

I don't get to watch enough Jets games to know if the Flyers would consider either Vilardi or Perfetti that prospective 1C, but any offer starts with the better fit of those two, since that's the Flyers' primary area of need and we could expect a lot of competitive offers for TK.

Travis Konecny should be the Flyers captain. Sean Couturier was gifted that position upon his return from his recovery from his nearly career ending injury. Coots was a great player during his prime, but he is past his prime.
TK is often the player who speaks for his team in post-game interviews, and he is their truest leader on the ice.
Danny Briere should not even think about moving Konecny if he wants continue his"rebuilding" phase. Konecny will be the helpful OG in the room who'll still be able to contribute to the team.
If Briere decides to move senior players on the team for prospects and picks he should move Couturier and Laughton.

It would be worth it to trade him because that would put the Flyers firmly in the McKenna sweepstakes for next season. They are a bad team with nothing down the middle at center for the foreseeable future. TK has really put the team in his back this year and without him they’d be Chicago/SJ bad. Honestly I’d settle for a high end prospect or young player (preferably C, but I’d also take a Dman) and a 1st. He might even be able to get the standard 3 piece return: top prospect, good young NHLer, and a 1st

I would start negotiations with Perfetti and Brad Lambert. I would probably add a first, maybe 2 considering we will draft late.

He is player on a line with that Ehlers would be so fast, so skilled with so much offensive finish, god that would be something.

It doesn't matter who they draft with their current coaching staff. They will take a top tier player in the draft with enormous offensive capabilities, then bench him in order for him to learn o be a defensive forward. They want an entire team of Couturier's and Laughton's, which is why they are in the condition they're in. Michkov will probably be begging for a trade within a year under Tort's and Shaw!

Would do this as a Flyers fan. I think 2 firsts may be over kill, but if we do 2 we can include Laughton.

It’s a good thought for sure. He was underrated. Now people know he’s a top producer and his contract is a good one too. With the Flyers trading off Farabee and Frost, I would think TK would want to leave. I don’t think I’d care too much about the return. The tank would be well worth it

As I've said on other high price guys, the juice might not be worth the squeeze on him. Travis is a good player absolutely, but trading for him doesn't make sense bc your paying full top end market price which isn't a good way to manage resources as a team. Plus he's a winger, not a big need for the Jets. IMO
