Props to Green for bringing JBD back into the lineup.

Now start stapling under-performers to the bench when it's warranted. I haven't seen anyone suffer because of their bad play yet and it's concerning.
Well props, but the pair wasn’t good that game.

We don't shoot enough from the point during even strength situations.
Because of this the other team and their goalie don't have to even think about defending the shot from the point...they don't even have to worry about getting in shooting lanes because they know we are not shooting. Easy to defend.
The other team just focuses on the down low forwards.
If you shoot from the point you can get lots of good things happening--- a deflection off of your team or the opposing teams players.
Screen shot can occur which can result in a goal or a rebound or an actual goal.
Instead we just pass the puck around and around.

Did I hear correctly that we lead the league in too many men on the ice penalties this year?
I don't know if we lead the league, but they've taken 2 this week. Last night's was somehow even more egregious than the one vs Carolina. To me, those things are an indication of how mentally unprepared they are.

Green wasn’t a Dirty player but he was a super detailed player that played with tons of emotion and a draw a line on the sand mentality, take no prisoners.

Just really disappointed to see Perron, Greig, Brady, Counsin, McEwen, Pinto playing soft and without the details or emotion. Thought he coach would have these guys Eating raw meat before games.

Really? I thought this coach sucked and should have never been hired.

I had no confidence in him being able to turn this team around..I criticized the signing all the time.

I'm surprised you expected anything out of him.

August Steve Staios: “I love the work the coaching staff has put in this summer and am very encouraged by our coaching staff.”

November Steve Staois: I love the work the coaching staff has put in this summer and am very encouraged that our coaching staff will have veterans to be with these young players in these times of sadness and complete inability to win any type of hockey game before them. We wanted the young guys to have veterans to cry with in the locker room, we have that now, everyone of every age is sad now, so we feel we’ve done work here across generations.”

Lol

We love to hire the guys who talk the talk but we never hire guys who walk the walk.

I found Green's post game comments to be very...flat, and absent of emotion. Disappointing, imo. Tkachuk not speaking and Green giving another flat presser where he credits the other team, defends the mentality of the Sens, and provides zero answers is frustrating. Vancouver played like their lives depended on it, lots of urgency, and Ottawa played like they were waiting for the Canucks to roll over - with no pace.

Tkachuk can’t play hockey without applause

Tkachuk got himself kicked out of the game so he doesn’t have to answer to the media because he’s a giant man baby who wants everyone to like him that’s why he cheats for goals because he needs the applause to feel like he’s accomplishing.

I also feel like, for all he scores, he is a part of the issue.

It’s over for core group. They can’t win, they don’t have winning skills

Brady has to go. And he’ll want to go. He can’t come back again, and he won’t want to.

Brady can barely do press conferences now. He’s a mess. They had to give him a day off after game 16 because he’s to immature to handle this.

Just watched it. He put everything on the players. Gave Vancouver 4 goals, players have to play to their potential, make a pass. He didn't throw anybody under the bus, he said alot though. I keep coming back to Andlauer saying "I can't hold people accountable if I don't give them the best oppurtunity to do the job." People flipped when Dorion and DJ weren't fired right away. He gave them rope and they used it to get fired very shortly after. Now we've seen them fix things...training, medical, pro scouting, changed the coaching staff, family room and dressing room, diet and training, analytics. These guys don't rush things. Methodical with a long term approach. It seems to me the rope is in the players hands now and they are making decisions about the core. Not management making decisions, the players. What the players do right now is making the decisions.

I agree with much of this, though our sense of Green's presser differs some. I do fear that the pace and patience management is displaying is not sending the right message to the players, though.

The right message has been sent. Who get's it is what's happening right now. Stu get's it. Who is trying to get it is what we can't see.

Just common sense they’ll have to move a core piece at the deadline, they can’t go into the summer having to move a major piece, and draft, and replenish in FA and get all that major work done in 2 weeks.

They’ll move Tkachuk, Giroux at the deadline, clean out the leadership group and salary, and go into the summer reloading in FA

I think they are showing patients but by January 1 they will be clearly out of the playoffs and it’ll make the decisions easier.

Staios timed his press conference ahead of game 20 because he saw how the team was playing and wanted to get ahead of having to do this on Monday when you can legit ask question if they need to rebuild the core.

Staois got ahead of it this week, but by Christmas this team will be fully collapsed and ready to be torn apart

Daccord will make Team Canada, Gustavsson will make Team Sweden, and Brady Takchuk will back check and do everything the coach asks him at the 4 nations, lots of dark days to come, it’s only going to get uglier from here when you see what these players could do, but won’t/don’t do in Ottawa

Very much agree with Stu getting it - and like that he is keeping his feet moving rather than looking to refs for calls (those are going to come).

I wish they'd take a break from showing them tape of their recent mistakes and show them highlights of the games we won by comparison. Remind them of what they're capable of

They can do it.
They just aren't.

If we don't have a 1st line rw, play the hot hand on that line until we do. Gaudette should get a chance imo.
Maybe sit amadio/cousins/giroux/whoever is struggling.
Bring up obstachuk and friggin highmore. We need some non sulking players
Cmon Travis Green. Use your assets better

That was the worst game of the season.

Boys played scared as ****.

That loss was on the coach. Didn't fire up the boys or adapt enough. They lost Hughes early in first and we made Connor Garland look like top 5 skater in the league.
