I can't recall the last time a goalie has started after shutouts. Two of them. Is Green outcoaching himself?

I know he wants to get Ullmark going. I can appreciate that. I can say "but"...but I will leave it there.

He is going to have to get through to his captain. That was the "old Brady", a guy who fought when didn't need to, and they give up a PP goal. Then on the 2nd goal, he was puck watching again and that puck should have never, ever, made it to that player. God I hated that goal.

He said the right things, and this team is going to make us pull our hair out for a while, it seems.

Giroux got more than a few breakaways like that, honestly, I have a hard time taking you seriously wrt Brady since everything is hyperbole when it comes to him. I'm not saying he's a strong defensive player, or that he's always putting in the level of effort I'd like to see on the back check, but the fact that you are the same poster who always talks about how we should bring back Karlsson when he was the absolute poster boy for inconsistent efforts defensively speaks volumes to how selective your criticism can be,

You know who else has selective defensive effort? Kucherov, Crosby, Ovechkin, McDavid, Draisaitl, Makar, Kane, Malkin and sure Karlsson, I think you can tell the difference between these players and Brady. And Brady still floats more than all these players.

I wanted Karlsson when it made sense, it doesn't anymore. You're acting like we've had some great success these past few years with Chabot and Chychrun which proves we couldn't have benefited from Karlsson.

Also I honestly don't remember Karlsson floating much before his injuries and around ages 19 to 24, his backcheck was actually insane. But yea he did become selective after those injuries but you know what? he still knew how to turn it on when it mattered.

Brady is what 25 now? does he ever figure it out? sure hope so.

Green needs to get on Brady's ass about the stupid penalties or taking hacks at opposing players when we're losing the game. When you fight the opposing players for taking a clean hit on one of our guys, you remove yourself from the game in the first period when we're down 1-0. It's not amping anyone up.

Then to hack at Benson at the end of the game? That kind of crap will get him suspended and isn't being a tough guy
Ya, even though the call was a pile of shit, you gotta let those go imo.

Coach's comments were very reassuring.

Paraphrasing - he said Brady could have fought him later. Great point which no doubt Brady heard first.

And he is right. We can lament about the 1-5 record, but our two best games of the year were in Vegas and New York

Whenever we are losing you immediately pile onto Brady and whenever we are winning and he’s playing well you are a ghost around here

It’s constant trolling

thats bs. this was 2 games ago on Sunday when he deserved praise.

Incredible defensive game by Brady.

He was hauling ass on the backcheck and it makes such a huge difference. 100% percent captain shit.

the tragedy DJB is; over the last 7 seasons, there has only been a small amount of good games. Ergo their win/loss record being significantly bellow 0.500. (THE TEAM AS A WHOLE)

And so, we have a disproportionate amount of bad relative to good to deal with.

This is now Groundhog month, for a 4th straight year. And Brady is Captain and the star and the highest paid (or one of). At some point, questions have to be asked.

They are 2 loses away (2 loses in a 3 game stretch) from being out of the playoffs for another year. Isles, Bruins, Leafs.. Those 2 loses could be right there. This season may end by next Tuesday.

Players will have to adjust to how refs are calling fighting related infractions these days, because times are changing.

I can't remember how many times I've seen players get absolutely jumped after a clean or dirty hit with no instigator, but Brady waited for him to accept the challenge and then they both fought.

Could Brady have waited for another opportunity, sure. Was it reasonable to expect no call to come from the fight given he didn't just jump the guy? I think so too, but going forward, it will apparently be better to mug the guy in a seemingly unrelated play, because... well Idk why.

The Sens are 1 win 5 losses on the road this year. We have had major difficulties on road trips in previous years and now again this year. ( For sure we deserved a better fate in a couple of those road game losses) but we did not get the wins and that's got to change.

We are going to have to get a lot of wins in this next section of 18 games (11 of those 18 games are at home) coming up starting with the Islanders before we go on that scary 9 game road trip over Christmas and into the New Year. If we get to that road trip in December and we are only at or below .500 we could be in serious trouble of not making the playoffs in my opinion.
