Keeping in mind:
  • We already have a pair of guys who normally would qualify for this tournament, and would only be turning pro this upcoming season, who aren't on the roster
  • Don't have Miller or Lundkvist
  • Don't have Kakko
  • Don't have Barron

Hopefully he will be good to go for tomorrow.

Edge- For sure!

But at the same time, it does show that we have been very focused on Ds for a long time. But with that said, it’s great to see two RDs there. If we had not traded for Fox that roster would have been very very LD tilted.

The LDs are always there, great value picks. Look at Robertson, think he has so much hockey in him, 2nd round pick.

We definitely could benefit from talent in other areas - particularly center. That’s not necessarily a negative reflection of what we already have, I just prefer to have more options.

Columbus is sending texier we can’t send Howden Chytil Andersson to center these kids and blow it up??

The prevailing thought last year was that Lias was exhausted from all the games and travels why would we want him to play more before the year starts?

Haven't read full thread so if this has been asked already...apologies. Are these games in Michigan being televised, streamed or not?

I'm wondering if this has to do with a rights thing (Fox having rights to stream the games) or what I've heard in the past which is there's not enough space in those small arenas for huge HD cameras that they normally use for games, so the production quality is not really good. They could have done the same thing the Knicks did which was to have the announcers in NY do play by play and color over the remote feed. But as we all know, the TCT feed with lousy camera angles makes it difficult to see players numbers, etc.

So no Kakko against Columbus?
