Growing up and watching those Detroit teams in the 90s and even to this point today always frustrated me. Frustrated me as to why our New York Rangers can't play the same PUCK POSSESION and FINESSE game. We never really had the personnel to do so. Today, I can finally say that this is the closest we have gotten to that puck possession team. Holding onto the puck and making plays. Relentless offensive zone time with waves of excitement. The best defense sometimes is your offense and I always believed in that statement. We may finally see it in New York. We have certainly developed that identity by bringing in Vigneault and further cementing it with the Marty St Louis acquisition today.

The days of the dump and chase or even the counter attack are coming to a close in NY. If we can just add a little more size.

Counter attack is still plenty there, it's just a counter on the transition now. Our speed makes our counter attack deadly.

But, yeah, I love what we're building here and the players were acquiring. This team is ushering in speed and skill, to go along with a great skating, balanced defense.

Counter attack will always be in the game. However if it's your team pushing the pace then you'll be doing less of it, which is the corner I feel this team is turning.

Yeah, agreed. We don't just "let the game come to us", we take it to the other team for basically the entire game. Getting MSL helps because we generate chances, but can't finish. Well, now we have an elite finisher AND add another great playmaker.

Watching Zucc and MSL on the powerplay is going to be a work of art. Cannot fricken wait!:handclap:
