Bruins want complete players, not more Phil Kessels.
Maybe they should try something different, instead of being stuck in the same way of doing things. Maybe they won't have these lackadaisical efforts that keep happening every season, it's seems like it's happening more often then not!.
I love this team, they can't score goals especially on the Powerplay.
And if they are so defensive minded, why give up so many breakaways?
Yeah the old man is yelling at the clouds again! Lol

Lysell has talent you need your eyes fixed. Bruins want every player to be some kind of grinder. With 1 Cup in 52 yrs maybe they should try things a bit differently with some players.
He's got the talent but so far no real fire in the belly IMHO. It's too bad he didn't stay here this summer and work with the staff. Maybe he and they could've worked to figuring out the void in what he needs to do to stick with the big club. You've got to display at least a couple of assets that you can bring to the team besides the promise that you may become an NHL goal scorer. PP is wrapped up so not that but there needs to be other tangibles that he can hang his hat on.

On the plus side, he is just 21, so there is time ahead of him to keep growing his game. It just takes some players a bit longer. If he was 24 or 25 and doing this, I think it would be fair to start questioning his future with the team. As it is, let's give him another season or two in Providence and see what happens, because the talent IS there.

They need more scoring it's that simple.
He hasn't shown he can score in the NHL. I'm not a fan of Geekie but I will take his production and all around game over a more skilled player who doesn't use those skills every game.

I would be amazed if Lysell is in the Bruins organization after the trade deadline.

Nothing was exciting in this training camp. Little or no offensive, no prospect stood out, the situation of the goalies is very worrying, the new ones offered very ordinary performances, extremely disappointing as pre-season

Terrible preseason, zero offense even when the regulars played. I hope we see a different effort come open night

For sure. Was monotonous. Like you said spot there for the taking and nobody dazzled. The new truculence wasn't on display much. I actually thought for the most part the goalies were the best thing of preseason, did the best they could and didn't look bad. The defense played 5 of the regulars one game and didn't look good....None of the forwards looked great at any point.

BUT it is preseason. Should be different when it starts for real.
