It doesn't get talked about a lot but this team was pretty bad when it came to secondary scoring last year. Pretty much any time someone under 22 years old wasn't scoring last year they were in big trouble. That can't happen again if they want to have a successful season.
Yep there were wayyy too many games where if the kids didnt get it done then no one did.
Sam Gagner had stretches of 4, 6, 4, 6, and 7 games where he didnt register a point. If he can improve his consistancy, which has been his biggest problem to date, the team should be much better.
Or if Horcoff can finish the season better than he did last season when he had 4 points in his final 22 games while only being a plus player twice in that span it would help.
Hemsky looked like he would rather be in detention than playing hockey on most nights last year as well. Hopefully the addition of two more rookies and their enthusiasm will infect some of the vets
