Was at the game at Staples today(Unfortunately). Players who stood out to me: Bodnarchuk, Vey, and Shore. Zykov played decent as well. Just way too many penalties to start the game, it set the tone for the rest of the way. Garon needs to retire.

in Garon's defense, he was left out to dry for 3 or 4 of the goals but he wasn't exactly sharp either...

Lol typical kings. Expect to be 31st in the league after this season.

I was at the game at Staples and Sabourin looked good again. A fight, a breakaway and a open net he either dinged the post or shot wide. He is tough but can play.

I think the Nolan hit gave PHX even more reason to hate us.Sounds like a pretty scary sight to see, with him laying on the ice. Lots of pissed off players.

Saw a replay of the Nolan hit. Springboarded towards Klesla; left his feet after hit. His shoulder appeared to catch Klesla under his chin.

A number of us who watched Nolan's hit compared it to the hit Raffi Torres put on Marian Hossa in the playoffs in 2012.

So the hit was way late?
I'm also wondering if there is a good enough/any video for the league to suspend...

Phoenix is known for ultra-homerish announcers...let's wait for video before jumping to conclusions. Refs usually catch blatant elbows; the Coyote press corp are the first group that would compare it to the Hossa hit I'm sure.

First off, I don't like hearing about players carted off the ice. Hope he's OK.

I haven't seen a replay, so I am speculating like 99% of people out there.

Sutter and Nolan have already come out and said it was a clean hit (of course--King homerism).

From all reports, Klesla was skating with the puck through the middle of the ice. As such, it is impossible for this to be compared to the Hossa hit. (Hossa didn't have the puck). Just another example of blatant Cryote homerism on the Hossa analogy.

If I had to guess, this situation will devolve into.... Kings fans will think the hit is clean and Cry-ote fans will claim bloody murder.

Bottom line though, Cry-otes should keep their head up skating through center ice...

The league has video of the hit, something that was mentioned last night and again in the PUck Daddy article:

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nhl-p...f-brutal-hit-kings-jordan-050403512--nhl.html

IN the article they have quotes from reportersr for both teams, who suggest Nolan left his feet, launched himself at Klesla and made contact with the head. And as mentioned below, it's not his first go round with Shanny.

and this at the end

So unless Klesla completely put himself in harm’s way, it sounds like Nolan launched into the hit and made contact with the head. Nolan was fined last year for a cross-check on Henrik Sedin, but was never suspended.

The Coyotes told Fox Sports that the NHL has access to the video from the game, even though it wasn’t shown on television.

Bartosak tweeted he's on his way back to Red Deer, so expect the first round of cuts to be announced today (speculating most of the cuts are the junior league players).

Poor Klesla. That guy has the worst luck against the Kings...we've put him out at least 4 times I can think of off the top of my head. Hoping for him it wasn't as bad as it sounds but I'm taking all the reports with a grain of salt since they're comparing it to the Torres hit. Shane Doan's quotes about it weren't even that bad.

Tippett pretty much gave a "no comment" during the post game, and the Cry-otes homer reporter has already retracted the blind side part of his earlier tweet.

Upon re-reading Rosen's tweet, he specifically says Nolan "left his feet after hit". Although in fairness, Rosen did say it appeared Nolan caught Klesla on the chin.
